Where is S12? I saw a dead cat a couple of days ago, ginger and white, looked quite large, on Greenland Road, Darnall.

Just drove past a dead cat on Staniforth Road, nearish to the tram tracks. It was an all white, fully grown cat.

Just seen a large black cat dead on the island at the main crossroads at Darnall.

This sounds a bit strange. Any witness who was disabled and vulnerable would have given a statement via video. A police officer cannot force someone to sign a statement, and if it had been written would have been countersigned by someone to ensure the vulnerable witness understood what was happening. What did your friend witness and why didn't he/she bluff the officer into arresting her, I'm wondering what offence she was threatened with for not signing a statement.

I agree. I work in a role where I see a lot of cannabis users and other drug users, and they are all monged, with some defiance and rebelliousness about them.

It's obviously working as there are a lot of posts spotting cars. I'm all for high police visibility. These cars are primarily used by CID.

Hi, I suffered from tonsillitis regularly as a child and got quinsy when I was 18. I was dehydrated and go sent me to hospital. The abscess was immediately syringed, yuk, and I was kept in isolation as I presume I was contagious! Got tonsils and uvula and I believe adenoids all removed. I have not had quinsy since! BUT...... I got a stomach infection a couple of years later. Got scarring on my throat which itched! Still get pharyngitis/sore throats a couple of times a year. I had refused a tonsillectomy when I was about 8, and then having it done at 18 was horrific. I didn't get ice cream, but dry toast and sausage which I only ate so I could leave the nasty unsympathetic nurses. I would say don't get them out. It was awful. X

When your friend was pncd, it may have brought something up which the officers would not share with you, as it would have nothing to do with you. They will have explained why they were searching him there and then. I'd ask your friend before reporting this. A lot of the posters are presuming about the police officers, when none of you have the full facts, just from some disgruntled poster who committed a traffic offence and was ticketed.

Hi, I get catarrh and sinusitis and sore throats a couple of times a year. I mix and match with various tablets, paracetamol every 4 hrs, two hours later 2 ibuprofen. Also buy some tablets called phenylephrine and take them as they are a decongestant, think they are in sudafed, mucron, lemsip etc but you get a higher dose buying them all separately. I got a gel eye mask for headaches which can be warmed or cooled depending on preference.

I agree with Alice, and the above poster re difflam. I've got a bottle full which I gargle with if I get a sore throat. Hopefully it's not quinsy. I've had it and ended up having my tonsils out because of it. It was horrible. Xx

I get them all too. I remember asking my nanna why it happened when I was little and she just said it was due to getting up too fast. I get them when I rub my eyes or get up too quick, or look at the light then look away.
