What do you hate About Sheffield

Following on from thread about what you love about our city,just wondered what you hated about it.

Probably been done before but sod it

Will Get the ball rolling:

 

1: Sheffield United

2: The Town Centre

3: Meadowhall

4: Sheffield City Council (My Auntie is Leader of Sheffield Council) lol

5: The Public Transport System

6: The Students

What do i hate? erm, not being able to sleep :hihi: I'll come back to this when i can think properly, probably in a few months time or summat...:hihi::D

Road works

Sheff Wed

Bad areas

Traffic

Dead city centre

1 way streets

1)Litter

2)High Council Tax

3)Crappy pot holed roads

4)Cr@p busses (not on time etc)

5)Chavs & gangs of youths

6)The fact that old people are scared to go out in the dark

 

Generalising a bit as most of these things are the same elsewhere but to me these are the things that stand out as soon as i come back into Sheffield. :(

I could not disagree more. My grandfather is from Sheffield, but I first returned as a student and was made very welcome indeed. I have found Sheffielders to be very helpful, considerate and tolerant. I have, however, seen them respond in a surprisingly acerbic manner to people who made the mistake of adopting a condescending tone of voice ... As with families or most other towns, if your own tendency to indulge in some affectionate mocking is mistaken for a licence to criticise by outsiders, you will close ranks.
