  1. I live in Wensleydale now and Chinooks regularly fly very low over our place. A pleasure to see.
  2. I believe this is about a Sheffield man who took 20 years to get a diagnosis from a doctor. After More Than 20 Years, Man Finally Gets Diagnosis After 3D Printing His Own CT Scans: http://3dprint.com/21369/hyoid-bone-syndrom-3d-print/
  3. The OP says 'one bedroom terrace' then posts a link to a 3 bed semi.
  4. Correct. Well done for spotting my deliberate mistake
  5. I've noticed a fair few private hire taxis in Sheffield with Gedling Borugh Council license plates. Is Sheffield so short of taxis it's having to import them from Notts?
  6. I don't know if it's the best as I've not tried them all, yet, but the Banner Crust at Banner Cross (excellent hot pork sarnies) sells pots of gorgeous pork dripping from their own roasts.
  7. I don't think there is camera there so you should be ok. Does your sat nav drive your car then?
  8. Lloydies Gym at the bottom of Carwood Road. The owner, Lloyd Stewart, is a world champion natural bodybuilder.
  9. It would seem SYP frequently receive complaints re bad driving as they keep records of them. http://www.southyorks.police.uk/sites/default/files/20120522-%20Driving%20Incidents%202011-2012%20Publish.pdf
  10. Lets hope they don't see your post then ;-) ---------- Post added 24-07-2013 at 21:45 ---------- 'febuary' - you'll have to do better than that ;-)
  11. Are you for real? There's no such thing as 'road tax', that was abolished in 1937. Motorists do not pay directly for the roads. Roads are paid for via general and local taxation. What concerns me about the parking on the road is how some drivers seem oblivious to the dangers of unloading their children from the offside of their vehicle directly into the carriageway. To think that some parents would put their children at risk for the sake of a quid beggars belief These may well be the same parents who have panic attacks if they see someone smoking within 100mtrs of their little darlings. Drivers also seem to want to park as close to the entrances of the car parks as they can which makes it very difficult for vehicles to exit the car parks safely.
  12. I remember Tony from my school days and used to have a few drinks with him occasionally. His parents used to have the Peacock pub at Owler Bar - his mum was lovely. I recall the 'technical' drawings of ships he did were fantastic! He was always an achiever.
  13. This does not make any sense at all. Who says you cannot go down the harassment route? The term harassment is used to cover the 'causing alarm or distress' offences under section 2 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 as amended (PHA), and 'putting people in fear of violence' offences under section 4 of the PHA. The term can also include harassment by two or more defendants against an individual or harassment against more than one victim. Although harassment is not specifically defined it can include repeated attempts to impose unwanted communications and contacts upon a victim in a manner that could be expected to cause distress or fear in any reasonable person. If you are as scared as you claim to be then Protection from Harassment Act 1997 is for you. Taken from the PHA: Section (1)A person must not pursue a course of conduct— . (a)which amounts to harassment of another, and . (b)which he knows or ought to know amounts to harassment of the other.
  14. Perhaps you could go down the 'Harassment Law' route ?
  15. I had a similar experience as Evei with a chiropractor. He offered me a course of cervical spine manipulation for £2500. He failed to notice on xrays and CT scans that my neck had been broken in several places 20 years ago and, according to my GP, chirpractic manipulation could have caused me very serious injury.
  16. ....and Mr Talbot is a very nice chap!
  17. We travel from Millhouses to buy from Talbots in Hillsborough. They've never let me down in 30 years.
  18. It's a nice ride though. Picknets in Redcar for crabs, O'Grady's for a pint and you'll have to visit the 'Pier' which looks more like a ships funnel or a helterskelter. The front is coming on though but the poor penguins are covered in bubble wrap:(
  19. If you visit Runswick when the tides in it's not so massive:) Robin Hoods is worth a visit if you can manage the walk down from the carpark....and back up! Had a nice Sunday lunch in the Lobster Pot, Staithes, a while ago. Going to the Ship at Saltburn this Sunday whilst in Redcar for the weekend.
  20. My ciggy doesn't talk to me and I don't talk to it. ---------- Post added 28-02-2013 at 19:33 ---------- Near to xmas several years ago we saw the fella from On the Spot Tyres, Abbeydale, swilling the road down opposite his garage. He was swilling away the brains and blood of the 80+yr old lady who had earlier been crushed between a car and a lamp post whilst waiting to cross the sidestreet opposite Carterknowle Rd. The woman who caused this old lady's death was on the phone whilst driving and subsequently jailed. I think about that poor old lady and her family everytime I see a driver using their phone.
