Have you tryed moneysupermarket comparison site,in my opinion its the best for car insurance,a company called allianz is possibly the cheapest.We were paying 72 quid a month with one company i shall not mention, but we switched to the other one and now pay 32 quid a month for the same cover..These insurance companies are beyond belief, and how can they expect first time drivers to pay exorbitant prices,in my opinion they are very greedy..Try Allianz though they are top,and by far the cheapest.
  2. I can remember my great gran whitening the doorstep with cardinal people had more pride way back..if you saw this now people would think u were potty..

Couldnt it be just a general letter you recieved,i would have thought if you had been reported you wud have had a letter from the enviromental health or a doorstep visit..I was just pointing out rat problems are everywhere even in rotherham where i live. Sorry just read your post again..even so it could just be a general run of the mill letter..

  6. I think in general there is a rat problem everywhere,due to bins only being emptied once a fortnight..

  9. I can remember my mother having a book for the corner shop, she sent me regular for a quarter of tea and other bits and bobs.. Shopkeeper just used to write in the book, and she would settle end of the week..You dont see this anymore, people were more trusting back in the day.

No unfortunatly, not had any contact even though someone knows him and i have advertised on here about the reunion..im hoping for contact as others that worked at hartleys expressed that they would love to see him again, by popular demand.. Even got a facebook page open with all the details ..So if you are seeing this mr john day open an facebook account and let me find you...

  14. Do you work at all,if you are on benefits the cost of furnishings on top of your rent would be covered by your housing benefit.So not clear why you didnt have the carpets left in.

  19. Looking for karen henser that worked at fred hartleys in the 1970s We are having a work reunion 25th may 2012..Her surname may have changed not sure what they call her now..
