  1. We're now agreeing with each other. I believe this has been allowed to happen due to Political Correctness. Too many people (Councillors etc) looking the other way out of fear of upsetting the Asian Community. Regards Doom
  2. I've just tried phoning out from work here in the centre of the Sheffield and I'm having no joy, so it looks like it's throughout the city. We use First Call, although I believe it's through the BT line. Regards Doom
  3. You can brand them what you like, that's your choice, but they're picking up votes from disillusioned Labour and Liberal voters as well as Conservatives. I like to think of them as the peoples party, because they're the only party listening to the publics concerns about various issues like mass immigration. Regards Doom
  4. It really doesn't matter to me where or how they're educated, what does matter is what they have to offer. Regards Doom
  5. The list of excuses continues. The fact is that UKIP keep breaking down barriers. A few years ago people would have thought it ridiculous that UKIP would have come first in the Euro Elections......They did. A few years ago people would have thought it ridiculous that UKIP would win lots of Council seats in a Labour stronghold like Rotherham....They did. Only a year ago people were saying that UKIP wouldn't win any seats in Westminster.....They now have. The momentum is with UKIP; Labour, Conservative and Liberal areas are all now vulnerable to them. I think the Heywood result is particularly important, because it shows disillusioned supporters of all 3 parties that UKIP really do stand a chance of winning in Labour heartland territory. Rotherham must be a very real possibility for UKIP. I really don't know how anybody could vote for Labour after what has happened there. The earthquake is very real......We now have 4 party politics in the UK....Enjoy!!! Regards Doom
  6. It's just hit High Green. A stunning result for UKIP, in both elections. No longer can people suggest a vote for UKIP is a wasted vote.....They can now target Labour, Conservative and Liberal seats across the country. Regards Doom
  7. I've been cut up a few times down there....I don't think anybody knows what they're doing, it's like Whacky Races. On a plus note, the traffic at the old roundabout seems to be flowing much better now. Regards Doom
  8. The interview I read with Professor Alexis Jay stated: The numbers are mind boggling. Assuming Rotherham is the tip of the iceberg, if justice is to be sought against all those involved, we're going to have to build more prisons. Regards Doom
  9. 'Nothing' is probably the wrong word.....'Not enough was being done' would have been better. The length of time this has been going on and the number of cases is the giveaway. If enough was being done by those in authority, then we wouldn't be talking about 1,400 cases. Had it not been for the Jay Report I'm sure this would have continued. Hopefully now 'proper' action will be taken and this disgraceful behaviour won't be allowed to continue. As I said to my colleague the other day, I think the Jay Report is one of the most important of our time. Hopefully it will blow political correctness out of the water. Regards Doom
  10. I know it's happened all over, but we currently know more about Rotherham than anywhere else and I find it incredible how so many have been getting away with so much for so long. Sageer maybe a brain dead moron, but it doesn't mean I have to disagree with everything he says. I never suggested they're asking to be groomed or raped, but when young vulnerable girls go out dressed like that they do undoubtedly make themselves a target for predators. I don't like it and you don't like it, because that shouldn't be the case, but sadly it's a fact of life. There were 1,400 cases in Rotherham. Whilst I agree that many parents/social workers will have done all they can to protect the children, I've no doubt there will also many cases where those responsible didn't do enough. Regards Doom
  11. The two questions that came to mind when I first heard of the Jay Report were how and why? The only conclusions I can come too are: 1. How? - Due to the politically correct climate that's been created, those charged with the responsibility of looking after minors were fearful of properly dealing with the situation for fear of being branded 'racist'. Forget the poor girls, there was more concern about maintaining the façade of a happy multi-cultural society. 2. Why? - I can think of only two reasons. The first is because they could get away with it. In the case of Jimmy Saville and his ilk, they got away with it because of their social standing. In the case of the young Pakistani males, they got away with it due to the reasons I've mentioned in 1) above. The second is cultural/religious reasons. It's often suggested that Women are treated as 2nd class citizens within the Muslim community. Then there's the question of arranged marriages......I'm sure some of the men are married to women that they don't find sexually attractive, so they look elsewhere for their sexual gratification.........These girls were easy targets. I maybe miles of the mark, but I guess we'll all form our own opinions as to how and why this has happened.....Those just happen to be mine. Regards Doom
  12. Absolutely agree!! Sadly though, we live in a society with plenty of sickos and children (which is what they are) need protecting from them. On the one hand you have situation where parents can't take photos of their children in school plays due to the fear of paedophiles, yet on the other hand we have 12 year old girls leaving their homes late at night and nobody in authority has done anything to stop it.....The worlds gone mad!! Regards Doom
  13. The simple fact is there is blame on all sides. Undoubtedly those who groomed, abused and raped the young girls take the biggest share of responsibility and hopefully the authorities will now deal with them. However, let's not forget those who failed to protect the young girls from the groomers. People in authority knew what was going on, yet night after night it's quite clear these girls were going out late with their groomers....How was this allowed to happen? Whether it's individuals or the system that's failed these young girls, we need answers....Thank goodness the likes of Toby Foster won't let it drop. Regards Doom
  14. We regularly read and hear negative things, but every now and again you do get positive stories like this. About a month ago my mum was going for a walk up Grenoside and took a tumble. She suffers from osteoporosis and was worried she may have broken something. 3 people immediately rushed to her aid and one young woman gave her a lift back home in the car. It's good to know there are still plenty of people out there looking out for others. Regards Doom
  15. Where have I blamed the girls? I would however question anybody who lets a 12 year old girl go out in skimpy clothing at a ridiculous hour. These girls needed protecting and quite clearly that wasn't happening. As I've already explained, I believe there are two sides to this: 1. Those who didn't protect the girls properly and 2. Those who took advantage of the girls. Would you agree both are in the wrong? Regards Doom ---------- Post added 09-10-2014 at 14:36 ---------- There were clearly a lot of people who knew what was going on, yet these girls were allowed to go out on a regular basis with nothing being done about it.....Evil has been allowed to triumph. Regards Doom
  16. I can't see a problem with this, if anything it shows the Hallamshire in a positive light. Regards Doom
  17. I wouldn't call it racist, probably more of a case of worrying about something a bit different. I remember when there was initially talk of a Crematorium in Grenoside, there were concerns from some residents that there would be ash floating about and settling on cars. Regards Doom
  18. With this grooming mostly involving youngsters of Pakistani descent, you do have to wonder what sort of morals the parents are instilling in some of them. Let's hope something positive does come from this whole sorry affair in terms of: 1. A change in attitude from the Pakistani/Muslim community and 2. A change in attitude from those in authority dealing with the Muslim/Pakistani community. Regards Doom
  19. Maybe I am being overly harsh on those looking after the kids and the means available to them to stop the kids going out, but I just find this whole situation so frustrating. How and why has this been allowed to go on for so long and in such large numbers? I really fear for the type of society we're developing. Regards Doom
  20. Maybe I misunderstood Mr Bloom's post, but I didn't initially get past his first paragraph which enraged me. I got the impression that was aimed at me and I was suggesting young Females are 'asking for it' by dressing provocatively. I never suggested anything of the sort and nor would I. Taking the lads comments at face value, what I was agreeing with is that girls as young as 12 shouldn't be out dressed provocatively until the early hours of the morning in clubs. There are two sides to consider as far as I'm concerned: 1. The responsibility on those looking after the young girls. 2. Those who come into contact with the young girls and how they treat them. IF those who are looking after the young girls are letting them out until the early hours dressed provocatively, then I think questions need to be asked. Those who take advantage of the young girls need castrating and locking up. Whilst those who have taken advantage of these girls are undoubtedly the worst offenders, there are others involved in all this who also have some responsibility for what has happened. Regards Doom
  21. When I was 12 years old I used to have to be back home and in the house by 8pm. Feel free to disagree, but I don't think it's right that 12 year old girls should be out until the early hours of the morning in clubs, drinking alcohol and dressed provocatively. The most important part of my post you didn't highlight '.....Who is responsible for these girls?' If I was responsible for a 12 year old girl, I certainly wouldn't want her going out half dressed until the early hours. If you're suggesting the lad in the interview was lying through his teeth and these girls aren't out until the early hours dressed like that, then that's a different matter. I actually have no idea whether they are or they aren't, because I don't frequent such places, but my point is that if girls are going out as he suggests, then why are the people responsible for these girls letting it happen? From everything I've heard and read in the last couple of months with regards to Rotherham, nothing surprises me anymore. Regards Doom
