  1. I'm pretty sure its got a one way security valve fitted to prevent you from getting any fuel out of it. Why did you fill the tank if you're going to sell it?
  2. I don't think its aimed at any market. It really doesn't look like they've thought that hard about it. The Barracks is a terrible location for any shop. No one goes there to do shopping. Its more seen as the route to Morissons for most people. Do you remember the "cash your gold" place that was there? I worked there from day one and opened that store. A week after it opened I said to the area manager that it was a terrible location and they wouldn't make any money. He said "no its great, everyone goes through here to get to Morissons". Which is true, but no one stops on the way. They all just walk straight through without even looking. That shop was making no cash whatsoever and costing the company nearly £1000 a week to keep it open whilst they saw through the contract. It closed a couple of weeks ago. I don't think the Barracks will ever be a successful place to open a shop. Especially since that big ex-catalogue shop closed down. That unit will never be filled and I think that will result in the rest of the shops either going out of business or moving elsewhere. That's why they are offering 6 months free rent on all the empty units.
  3. Its opened but I can't see it being there very long. It looks very empty and very uninviting, like a temporary shop that will only be there for a few weeks. Its just empty space. Needs something on the walls and more furniture. Maybe some music too. Its clear that there has been no thought put into the design of the shop. Its literally a big empty room with what looks like an old kitchen worktop across the middle of it. Absolutely nothing even trying to tempt you in. Also they have a very limited range of cakes. Maybe five different ones. I've never seen anyone in there except the woman who works there who was looking very grumpy. I'd give them the 6 months that they've got the unit rent free for then it'll be gone.
  4. I'm looking for a 4x2x2 vivarium for a bearded dragon. Does anyone have one for sale?
  5. Hi! I was interested in this but there are a couple of things that confuse me. First it says that the lizard is "4-5 inches long and wont get much bigger". Is this correct? If so are you sure its a bearded dragon because they can grow up to 24 inches. Also can you post any pics of the beardie and vivarium so I can get an idea of the layout? Thanks.
  6. Yeah the universal PC world one is pretty good. Its about £45.
  7. The funniest thing about this is that the video calling is more limited than it was 10 years ago!! With old school video call phones, you could have a video call anywhere with anyone else with a video phone, but with the iPhone 4 you can only video call other iPhone 4 users and only if you are both connected using wi-fi!! Yes the picture quality is amazing and smooth (unlike the low-res 5fps of old), but it completely loses the only thing that was even vaguely appealing about video calling, which (in my opinion) is spontaneity. Now you have to plan a video call and make sure you are both at home and connected to wi-fi. You may as well just use MSN. No doubt the picture of a little apple on the back of it will mean it'll sell by the millions anyway
  8. I don't understand why you would want to swap you 80gb PS3 for one that is essentially the same with a smaller HDD. It just seems very odd and a bit suspicious. With an 80gb HDD you can keep more games installed. There is no good reason that you would want a smaller one. Can you give specific reasons for wanting to do this? It would help make it look a lot less like some kind of rip-off if you could.
  9. I also use it to charge my Xbox 360 controller with the play & charge cable!
  10. Funnily enough I literally just got one of these off Amazon (was about £1) specifically to charge my Sony Walkman! Got it cos I was sick of having to have my (noisy) PC on to charge it and it works fine!
  11. That is a good point. Didn't think of that. Although I doubt he'll want to void the warranty on a brand new Sky+ HD box by taking it apart to get the hard drive out...
  12. Yeah the web browsing is never "free". The cost is always bundled into the total cost of the contract.
  13. Not used outlook before, but isn't there a little tick box at the top that selects all visible emails at once that you can then delete? Like in Hotmail etc? :S
  14. As far as I can tell from taking a quick glance at it, the software on that site only allows you to back up your Sky+ HDD or copy its contents to another one. It doesn't allow you to copy the recordings to DVD or watch them on a PC. They always remain in the same encrypted format and are only playable on a Sky+ box.
  15. Its the extra controllers that make owning a Wii an expensive pastime. If you want to be able to play all games available for the Wii then you will need this lot: Wiimote = £27.99 Nunchuck = £17.99 Motion Plus unit = £19.99 Classic controller = £19.99 A total of £85.96! Per player!! That's a grand total of £257.88 to be able to play all 4 player games available. That's just the cost for complete controls for 3 players. It doesn't even include the price of the classic controller for player 1 that unbelievably isn't included when you buy the console!! If you want to comfortably control driving games then you will also need the steering wheel accessory too, which are £7.99 each, adding another £31.96 to the total. Bear in mind that these prices are nearly all reduced from the RRP (taken from the Game website). I realise you said you were only wanting a set-up for 2 players, but even getting that will add almost £100 to the cost. As for Wii Fit, it really isn't worth the money. If you need to get fit then go out and get some exercise!! Its cheaper and far more effective!
  16. Why did my post get edited? All it said was "ad block plus"
  17. Yeah it is a pretty lengthy process, but its the only way to do it If they're that bothered about it then you could always show your parents how to do it! They could just watch them whilst they record them!! Would take a few lengthy sittings to get it done though.
  18. Do you or anyone else use it in bed? The quickest way to fry the innards of a laptop is to us it on a duvet which blocks all the air intakes.
  19. I take it that moving back in with your parents isn't a permanent thing? If so then can't they just wait till you've moved back out and restart their Sky+ subscription? (they will have to re-subscribe because you can't watch any recorded programmes if you don't). Or can they really not live without watching them for a while? What went wrong when you tried to use a DVD recorder? It really is incredibly simple to do. The Sky+ box even has special options to allow you to do it! As far as I can remember you just highlight the program you want to copy, press the red button and start your DVD recorder (plug the "video out" scart on the sky+ box into the "video in" scart on the DVD recorder). The recorded programs are encrypted and stored in a special format that can't be played on a PC, so there is no chance of just taking out the hard drive in the Sky+ box and connecting it to a PC to copy the recordings.
  20. I don't know, but I really hope there isn't. If you can't spend time on the beach without posting tweets or updating Facebook statuses then there is something seriously wrong.
  21. I'd seriously consider installing a PCI wireless card. It really is incredibly easy to do, no matter how cack-handed you are! If you can use a screwdriver and can plug a cartridge into a games console then you can install a PCI wireless card. It really is no more difficult than that. It'll also give you a stronger wi-fi connection and leave your USB ports free.
  22. It should be fine. Its just a company that manages software licenses for some companies. Is it working OK after you installed the update?
  23. Have you downloaded the update?
  24. It does look like a nice little system. I just like the idea of building something myself though. Much more satisfying! Also makes it easier/cheaper to upgrade if you have standard size components. Think I might build one for myself actually! :-)
