  1. These are a similar concept but are used as recycling bins. They are stackable and use carrier bags: http://www.ecohamster.co.uk/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=10797 I know they aren't in Sheffield but are free delivery and arrive quickly. Sorry if this ian't much help.
  2. I am a pedestrian and I would much rather walk on the path and fall flat on my face than walk on an icy/snowy road where cars are sliding and potentially get run over/hit by a car. I may lose my dignity by falling over (and have a sore bum) but I'd rather that than lose my life walking on the road. Not worth the risk in my opinion.
  3. I agree about staying away. I know that these things can tug at the heart strings but she could come from a line of cats with health problems as well as other unknowns and I don't really think you can trust what they say. Good luck in your search and I'm sorry that you lost your siamese:( I can't imagine losing Freya as with all siamese/orientals, they have such big personalities and am sure leave a big void.
  4. If they are suggesting that she is a pedigree and they got her from a breeder then unless they are a back yard breeder then it is total rubbish. Breeder cats don't leave until 13/14 weeks. My Oriental didn't come to live with me until she was 15 weeks old. I am assuming that they are saying she is a 'pedigree' but isn't registered and has no papers. It does sound dodgy to me.
  5. Here is a link to the Siamese rescue in Sheffield (they often have orientals too) http://siameserescue.info/default.aspx
  6. Glad I'm not alone in thinking he is a little on the moody side. Saying that though- overly cheerful shopkeepers scare me. Yes Fopp was fab- would love it if it returned.
  7. I live in Woodseats and got a bizarre leaflet through the door (mostly gobbledygook). Don't think it was Mormon literature though.
  8. I've actually just returned from a visit to YWP today and was going to post about it and then saw your thread. I was actually extremely impressed, especially considering it is a new attraction and there will be expansion in the future. I thought that the lemur walkthrough experience was fab and was impressed by the enclosures for the other animals as at other places, they seem quite constricted. The contact areas were good as you could experience the animals close up and I saw all of the wallabies today- one complete with a Joey.
  9. What I saw does sound very much like arc welding as the flashes were all in one place, green flashes and seemed to be over some industrial buildings.
  10. I saw this and pointed it out to my boyfriend as wasn't sure what it was. The flashing lights looked a greenish colour to me. I was outside at the time for quite a while and couldn't smell any smoke or hear/see any fire engines. I just saw the police chopper close by.
  11. If you're looking for another bar/restaurant that have it- Platillos in Leopold Square do
  12. There's this place on eccy road http://www.pandorasboxlingerie.co.uk/shop/ Never been but it looks like they have some good brands like Madame V and Kiss me Deadly.
  13. SJT are good. Here is their website with a gallery of examples of their work http://www.sjtbuilderandjoiner.com/
  14. I am 24 and have drank port since I was 18. Its my favourite alcoholic drink by far and I often drink it in pubs when out with friends. I also have a good supply at home too.
  15. I also used to work there and also totally agree about the last bit. To be honest I wasn't that impressed with the gym itself and didn't think it was worth the money.
  16. The Jeff Buckley version is by far my favourite- always has been, always will be.
  17. I was going to give goose a go but since there are only two of us, I have decided on pheasant instead
  18. I enjoyed it and thought it was the best in recent years. Its always nice when the guests actually sing Christmas songs. Minnie mouse etc were on the Moor earlier on in the day I think.
  19. Thanks, I've passed this on and will hopefully get back to you asap
  20. Right, I've been talking to a lovely person who is taking some of the mousies up this way. Basically Emma is a bit snowed under at the mo so if you pm your details to me and how many mice-sex, pregnant or not etc and I will pass this on. Then hopefully it can be arranged for them to be brought up here. At the mo is a bit confusing etc but its such a big rescue across the country so there are bound to be delays and mix ups. Thank you.
  21. Yep, I read something like 500 have been placed so far!
