  1. Both are decent investment houses with a good track record. Sterling in particular have access to a number of excellent external funds. Take your portfolio back to the advisor, and look at a few fund switches. In difficult times diversity is key. The US Market, perversly, offers excellent long term growth potential at the minute. People forget that with low unemployment, very low interest rates and low inflation compared to previous years that the economies fundamentals remain sound. A few banks may have had their fingers burnt, but this 'crash' is not justified, and by the end of the year the FTSE will be at least 15/20% higher than it's present position.
  2. If you owned £46,000 worth of one stock, then you would want your bumps feeling. Many opportunities in the market. Bank share prices are stupidly low, considering the Govt have effectively agreed to be a guarantor whilst they return to profitability. Take a look at HSBC, RBS and Barclays. Bargains to be had. Buy now, and sit back for a few years, taking some of the profit to diversify.
  3. It's coming very close to the time when the clever investors dive in. The market has just about bottomed out, IMO. Most of these FTSE/DJ losses are based on confidence, not fact. Commonsense will come through soon. Those that have the balls to invest now, will be quids in after a few years.
  4. I counted the other day. From Gilders, to the Park Hotel, there are 14 takeaways. That must be some kind of world record for what is less than 500 yards.
  5. No, a:cry:ttempting to make money out of an inability to ride a bike. 6/5 Teacher 4/6 Teaching assistant 2/5 Teacher on long term sick through a little bit of stress IMO of course.
  6. Fine, we'll leave it at that. Good luck with the vibration white finger claims.
  7. So you signal right, then drift left? And cyclists wonder why there involved in so many accidents.
  8. Have you thought about sueing the manufacturers of the bike, for not pre-fitting an anti-supertram track idiot proof steering assistance system? Might be worth a look at. You just never know.
  9. What was at fault; The cyclist, or the tram tracks that have been laid down now for over 15 years? I think we all know the answer, but don't allow common sense to get in the way of yet another ambulence chasing style insurance claim, that we all end up paying for through higher premiums. Beats actually having to work for a living doesn't it?
  10. Let me guess, you're a teacher, struggling with the end of your latest 7 week holiday?
  11. 2,4,28,29,33,40. Bonus ball 3 Good luck everyone.
  12. Rather than picking outsiders, you'd be better trying to pick winners. Call me old fashioned like.
  13. Maybe they should have got themselves a sound financial base and living standards prior to breeding like the thick rabbits that they appear to be.
  14. No wonder staff are leaving in droves if they have to put up with mardy face aches like you. Let me guess, you're a teacher, with a penchant for moaning?
  15. Miserable sod. Why not get organised and buy tickets online, instead of whinging to an under paid fellow Wednesday fan. Your probably the type that complains about everything. Get a grip. If you didn't want to queue just turn round and come back, or pay on the gate to tomorrow night. After all there are going to be 25,000 spare seats. It's a pity you have nothing better to do with your time. Stay away from the ground, because you are probably the type that boos players anyway.
  16. You once had a chairman who decided he wanted to be a girl instead. I could never be associated with such shannanigans.
  17. And you've not even clicked that i'd given you 3 kids, whilst still being a virgin. 1 brain for sale, never used.
  18. This place sounds like school dinners for the skint. People tend to confuse having lots of food and good food. Just because you get served a lot of rubbish food for little money, doesn't make it good.
  19. Why would I need to be careful? You lot are only brave in groups, so unless your sat in an internet cafe with a few other of the unemployment Sharrow crew, I think i'll be alright.
  20. What about the Tevez hard luck story? I'm waiting for the march to the Houses of Parliament and charity song to back up your cause. Ask any fan, of any other club in the country, who they prefer; United or Wednesday? I reckon 90% would say Wednesday. The reason is that Wednesday are the club with history and class, 2 things that can't be bought by raiding bankrupt pub teams in Budapest and Chengdu.
  21. Your right, let em all out. Empty the jails, and spread the love. Wait at the gates with the compensation cheques. Until something happens to either you or your family that is of course.
