  1. When I was younger (up to the age of 17/18ish) I was playing so much football/tennis all the time I could eat whatever I wanted and never put on weight... in fact I always thought that I was too thin. Now 10 years later I'm working my ass off (literally!) to lose weight I've put on since I stopped playing football and tennis but kept eating all I wanted. I've lost about 4 1/2 stone in the last year, but still have a long way to go!
  2. Only if the only other options were Manchester or Leeds!
  3. Joint top between Leeds and ManUre I'd say... Under them in the list would be local rivals, so Cod-heads (Grimsby), Hull and Lincoln.
  4. Agreed. I'm growing my hair and some days if I can't be bothered with it (if I'm running late or it's really windy outside) I will pull it back into a pony-tail... if people don't like it - tough (see #1 - it's nobody's business than my own ) It's quite sad how people are so intent on putting people down because they don't look "normal" Only if you count 27 as old?
  5. Dolphins fan here - can't wait for the new season to start! In particular looking forward to seeing what kind of crowd reception Favre is going to get when the Vikings go to GB - especially if they go there and win! Am just glad the NFL is back... having such a long off-season sucks
  6. I have a Tesco club card... all I use it for is every now and then they send me a voucher worth a few quid off my next shop, which I use the next time I do a big online order. It's not much, but as they say - every little helps
  7. What can I say.... me being single is obviously bringing the national average down!
  8. Exactly. When I was at school I was considering teaching, and even did a one-week work experience with a friend's mum who was a teacher at an infant school. I really enjoyed it, and the school was really eager to encourage me as a guy to follow it up and get into teaching (every teacher at the school was a woman if I remember rightly), but the general perception of men who teach as "weird, dirty pedos" and all the scare stories really put me off, and I went a different way. A real shame, but ignorance often breeds ignorance.
  9. To the best of my knowledge, they are legal provided they do not have a fully sharpened edge (so are display only). EDIT: ...and that you do keep them on display and don't go waving them around threateningly at people of course!
  10. So let me get this straight (if you'll excuse the pun)... the leader of the Catholic church is AGAINST homosexuality?? Well, I for one am truly amazed... /end sarcasm Let's not forget, homosexuality (particularly in men) was much more common-place and accepted back in Ancient Rome and Greece, and yet the human race managed not to die out back then... I'm sure we'll find a way to cope some how.
  11. You know this already (as I'm talking to you on MSN right now), but I second AO's sentiments - I'm here for you as much as I can be, and if there's anything ever that I can do... even if you just need a chat, let me know! *hugs*
  12. If they've already split up, I don't see what there is to gain by saying anything?
