Advice sought from those with green fingers.

Yes I've put some in pots and hanging baskets. It's been quite rainy in Cheshire, so just give them a water late evening when it cooler. As I've no idea what's what, I don't know which prefers, sun, shade or wind-but I guess I'll just have to put that down to beginner's error and see what happens. I've appointed my Dad as Slug Patrol Monitor, and he goes out at dusk with a torch :-) -
OMG, what was that song Colplay just played where Chris Martin did a harmonised duet with a bearded man on a little piano thing? Was quite something.

Alien is an unnecessary word. But putting up with being looked down on for: having an alcoholic drink, showing a little cleavage, eating pork, and generally being something which some other cultures find disgusting, is a discomfort... and surely is up there with more than compromise, just merely an observed damn cheek. Go home if you don't like it. -

Just to update, have grown some basil, parsley, corriander, and beetroot-all doing nicely so far. I've picked at some of them when cooking :-) The flowers are a bit of a mix up, and and don't know what is what because I sort of lost the labels, they blew off in the wind...and because I'm more of a cook than a gardener...I can only recognise the herbs. Anyway, it's thoroughly rewarding to watch things grow, I wish I had a digital camera to show you. Flowers haven't come out yet. -
Does Murray have a personality?

I think you're assuming 'the unemployed' (I guess you mean all of them) want help, rather than just being plain lazy whilst shafting the system via any benefits they can. Not to say that I am sure there are some genuine cases, but quite frankly-I think there is a poor work-ethos among us. When did work become an option, rather than a necessity?

What's your interpretation of what GOD is?
metaphoria replied to danot's topic in General Discussions
Surely no-one wants harm for those who they disagree with, unless they are full of anger and revenge. And, fair enough, I don't think I've ever seen a group of non-believers demonstrating with signs that say 'kill all the non-believers'. But if you're refering to the likes of Westboro Baptist church, they also condemn believers. See here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westboro_Baptist_Church under 2.3.1 I'm just as much in the firing line as anyone according to their piddly little angry family. The only difference is, I don't care what they say. -
Are you asking for my interpretation of scripture, or are you asking me if God is a liar?
-
Which quote are you referirng to?

You misunderstand, in my opinion, and that's just the way you interpret it, I imagine because you like to be your own boss, and don't accept a higher power than you. Not that it bothers me. It's just a kind of, 'well you would say that...' sort of thing, to me.

No, he told them not to eat the forbidden fruit. That makes it consensual with knowledge, not innocents unaware.

I'm with the scientology opinion. Xenu...I mean seriously. Do your own reading.

I suppose if you were a creator, creating something that has free will, would be somewhat of a risk. Then again, creating something without free will would be boring.
