  10. Hi duckweed, I would imagine that you live in the same local area as most of the kids that go to the same school as your son. Have you spoken to his form teacher at school? how does he react at school? are there any problems at school he is not telling you about? does he mix with the other kids at breaktimes, or, does he stay inside? how is he performing during lessons? Is he being bullied? I ask this because of the parts I have highlighted in your quote, and the fact that he has stopped doing activities outside school hours that most kids of his age love doing. I would say that as well as his hormones being all over the place, and because he is not socialising, and just wants to stay in bed all the time, that he has depression. If you haven't spoken to his form teacher, I would suggest that you do that ASAP, and if everything seems to be ok at school with his work, and there doesn't seem to be any bullying concerns, get your husband to take him to see the family doctor. The doctor cannot, as I am sure that you are aware, make any diagnosis without actually seeing him. Also, try talking to him about bullying, because he is a big lad, he may be too embarrassed, to bring the subject up himself. I wish you good luck in getting your son sorted out as quick as possible.

  16. Hi Zebra, and everyone, I have added a xmas splash page to the website . Still awaiting photo's . Can you please make this thread sticky? cheers. MERRY XMAS to one and all, And HAPPY NEW YEAR For 2008.
  17. Hiya Zebra, and everyone, I have updated the website, I have added a Google Interactive Map showing the location of Chapel Walk, and a Secure E-Mailer, so people can e-mail you direct from the website. I have removed the Photo Album, as it was getting 6000+ hits a month, and to make it private would have meant having to give everyone a password, so I think it best if you just keep photo's on the website, where they can't be copied or downloaded. I will be adding a page for the portrait photo's next.
  18. Hi, I have added three of the photo's you sent me Zebra, sorry the others are portrait and will look a bit odd in with the landscape ones, I will make a new page for the portrait ones as soon as I can. I am very busy at the moment designing websites for Florida Holiday Villa's. Hoping to get a freebie holiday out of it :hihi: take care all, see you soon.
  19. :hihi: Certainly wasn't his day then, car impounded, weed donated to the local constabulary party,, :hihi: And a beating off his weed craving friend (probably) or having to make a refund, as his friend wasn't amused by the thought of the local law enjoying his weed. :hihi:
  20. The local copper knows him then LOL. The weed will cost him more than the driving offence. very expensive draw, did they take that too? :hihi:
  21. Well yep, as I was saying, cheap cars can be got at any time, and I bet this guy gets another car soon. And he will be back on the road, no licence, insurance, MOT or road tax. Did he get a court appearance date, or did they just take the car?
  22. What a load of buzzcocks, I agree with newvanandman on this one. Exactly what failing, or, performing poorly in school exams, or, having a criminal record has to do with driving, I have no idea. They must have undergone and passed a DOT driving test if they have a licence to drive. Britain is just becoming more and more a nanny state. In most states in America (And I am sure our American friends will confirm this), You are allowed to drive at age 15, and once you have had 50 hours driving experience, then you get a licence, as long as your parents agree to you having a driving licence. This is why most kids in the states go to high school in cars. As for the people who drive around with no road tax, MOT, or, insurance, they usually drive around in cars that are not worth a light, and if their car is crushed, they just go and get another one, and if caught again, they just get their knuckles rapped. There is no room in our over crowded prisons for petty offenders, unless they do get involved in a serious motoring offence. I update my driving skills every 2 - 3 years by taking an advanced driving test. I wonder how many of you criticising young drivers can say the same, there are some good, responsible young drivers, but as always, the majority have to suffer for the minority. If a young driver / any driver is seen to be, or, is caught driving irresponsibly or dangerously, then their car, or whoever's car it is they are driving should be confiscated and crushed. Then if it is a young driver let them explain to mummy and daddy how and why their brand new car is now the size of an OXO cube.

  24. I have read this thread with interest, but I found the above post to be not only offensive, but disrespectful too. We are referring to a deceased person, who had a disability (Epilepsy), Who was tortured, beaten and starved to death. And whilst we quite rightly condemn the people who carried out this horrific treatment of a fellow human being, we think nothing of referring to this deceased gentleman as a "poor *******". Not a very nice thing to call or say about anyone. Does this not infringe his human and personal rights, by stating in a public forum that he was born out of wedlock, to a father unknown? Human Rights do NOT only apply to the victims of murder or rape, Human Rights are infringed by anyone who causes another human being to suffer Verbal, Mental, Physical, Sexual or emotional abuse. And unfortunately, this gentleman is no longer here to defend his human and personal rights.
  25. She should recall the AA and have it taken to a garage of her choice, or, even have it recovered to a garage where she lives. my car broke down a few years ago whilst we were on holiday, and the RAC recovered it to a local gararge where we were staying, it took the garage three days before they rang me to say what was wrong and how much they would charge to repair it. I told them they must be joking, and got the RAC to recover the car back to Sheffield to the garage that carries out my servicing. The garage gave me a courtesy car so that we could enjoy the rest of our holiday. I hope your friend gets sorted out alright.
