  1. Bless. You do know the EU wanted to slap tariffs on Chinese steel but that idea was vetoed by one country and one country only. The UK. You think it will happen now? You can't be that stupid surely.

It wouldn't have been the Tory's that vetoed that proposal would it:rolleyes:

  2. sometimes theres just nothing to say?

the blades have finished theirs and theres only so many times they can us they smashed it?

We've prolly said all we can say till theres more news coming out about the matches?

Ive always been against talking for the sake of talking, i aint much of a talker anyway, and i think half the problem on this section is people talk just for the sake of it and thats when the name calling etc starts. aimless talk

Now't to say , we have got all the papers commenting on the play offs , T.V also is also giving updates on all things Hillsbro on top of this rumours that Premiership clubs are now chasing Carlos .

There is as much to say now as there was exactly twelve months ago when the Owls had us all on the edge of our seats.

  3. Once again the biggest games for years are upon us with the Owls once again at the forefront of interest in our City.

But !!! for some reason this footi section seems dead with the last posts over 24 hours ago, it is as though people are not prepared to comment , why one wonders :(

  4. I have had to think very hard( for the first time ever ) on who to vote for in the coming election.

The problem being that I am not very endeared to Jermy Corbyn as the Labour leader .

However this dilemma has now been solved by todays news that he if elected will renationalise the railways , the royal mail and energy industries this taking away from the robbing quangos that with .M.P's backing stole the public services in the first place.

Let us hope that this is followed by our re owner ship of the Steel and haulage industries so as once again our Country can be run for the common good of all the citizens and not just the CHOSEN few.

  5. What's with your obsession with the Gini coefficient? It's getting a little ridiculous now.

The Geni Coefficient is just one set of statistics, and not a very good one at that. Look it up on Wikipedia for an overview and you'll see its many failings.

Many economists and political commentators now agree that the gap is widening in a very realistic sense, and we're worse off than we were.

The problem is that a new class of Labour voter has arisen in England one that I call the chattering classes , teachers, uni lectures, public servants and so on .

These new Labour voters as well as the party candidates that are shipped in to our Towns to represent us have nothing in common with the traditional old labour supporters who feel left behind by the party who along with the conservatives seem to be only interested in keeping the status quo that they

    already enjoy.

The new Labour can spout all they want about supporting the lower (left behind) classes the point is they no longer do and what is needed is a new proper socialist party that is from the people for the people and not the candidates that now come through in so called Labour.

  6. In all fairness I wasn't directly asking for a comparison I just wondered if he maths skills were able to work that sum out as well.

And even if it was that way, how come its daft to ask for facts and figures when Blades query an Owls comment but any other time all you lot want is facts and figures? :hihi::hihi:

If you want to talk daft comparison then that's you constantly referring to Owls as massive when you are minnows compared to the same level of support that both Manchester clubs, Madrid and Barcelona get.

We were getting big gates before that lot and yor lot even jumped ont band wagon :hihi:

  7. Its out again today ,the same old inherited wealth mob from the Royals ,Dukedoms and silver spooners grinning away whilst posing outside the ever so troublesome to maintain stately home .

Meanwhile in a shop door way on Fargate, a man who sleeps in a cardboard box looks around his domain and wonders what luxury today will bring.

  8. we have took our kids abroad for years since they were 1 year old.

NEVER would we have left them alone in an hotel/apartment(or anywhere) on their OWN.

True. This is a horrible story.

What is it with Educated posh people?

I remember going to Holland on the ferry with an u12 football lads team with my son and a rich well educated Bridge Engineer and his wife had left their 3 year old boy in their ferry cabin room.

When me and another parent asked if he was alright. The mothers reply was

`yes he`s got a good book` and carried on supping her wine

My mrs once left our little angel out side the butchers in his pram , when she got home she asked me if they had been good , I said "hes wi thee". .

    Crap parents some people :help:

Our lads turned out or reight although my Mrs still int posh.

  9. Did you input payment details then press confirm/purchase?

To be fair this sounds more like user issues than the system going wrong

You are right my tic tac charms are crap:hihi:

I have now got ticket by standing in line cap in hand job done.

  10. I applied for my play of seat last night , typed in my details and then got a short message saying one reservation for chosen event.

Does this mean I have got my ticket , does it mean they are saving it for me etc.

I have tried to get in touch since only to be told I am in a line of thousands.

If I have been successful do I just use my season ticket on the day .

    confused:confused:

  11. Possibly because he knows that one wrong word he says in broken English could end up with his face all over the British tabloids the next day.

Was quite biased from the BBC, who are partially funded by the government, the same government who have ploughed money into the case.

Would be very unwise for the BBC to bite the hand that feeds them

The whole things been a complete screw up from day 1 to be fair.

He was the house manager on the complex his English is perfect .

Who ever entered that apartment had a key .

    Who has the keys?

People who call the McCann's on these threads for useing all means possible to get that little lass back should be ashamed of them selves.

  12. To some extent there'll always be some self-deprecation about where you're from but you're right there's some folk on here chronic dislike of Sheffield must be making their lives very miserable.

There's an array of different restaurants, pubs and bars that cater for all from real ale drinkers to late night revellers and some top quality theatres and music venues.

Still, Doncaster's market is better apparently.....

It is but not as good as Barnsley and that is because they are both in the traditional Town centre environment( where they have always been) and not been moved down South so as to cosy up to out of Town investors and speculators.

  13. Any one else notice how Look North our so called local TV service was centred entirely on what is happening in Leeds.

The featured political debate was entirely Leeds based ,as was the football followed by debates on Leeds carnival and Leeds cycling problems.

Perhaps we South Yorkshire licence payers should ask for a rebate.

  14. I rarely go into the city centre so it wont make a lot of difference to me.As long as the council tax payers do not have to pay for it i dont mind.I went to the new The light cinema on the moor last week which i was well impressed with.It was very quiet though,i counted less than twenty people watching the film.I still miss the wappentake and henrys bar, happy memories.

As the new market is only 70% occupied and the council are charging the stallholders just half rent the council tax payers are indeed paying for the grand plan on the Moor.

Mean while care Holmes are being shut due to lack of funds.
