  1. Not how i perceived it. But happy to be proved wrong preferably by someone of Indian descent.
  2. "You've not seen much of the world, and the gaping chasms between extremes of non-inherited wealth and poverty that exist elsewhere, then?" I have actually, but that is also wrong and a different argument. (notwithstanding your own unsupported opinion ) You really think i act alone? As you say you have no preference one way or the other just for your own information, why not check out the Republic website for our viewpoint. Graham Smith is a very good straightforward spokesperson and representative for Republic.
  3. I understand where you are coming from, but if the evidence is clear then surely you / we have the right to then be specific. Not meaning to single you out but this happens frequently.
  4. Your opinion, backed up by no evidence whatsoever. I didn't say I wanted to chop their heads off but seeing as you are most likely referring to the French, in that case they seem justified in what they did, taking the ways of that time into consideration. Neither did i say I hated them, just don't agree with them, and the fact that you are stuck with them whatever their behaviour, and the behaviour of this lot has been pretty bad at times. I think you will find there is a substantial number of people questioning the concept of royalty, and don't feel any goodwill or hold in her in the same esteem as you apparently do. I don't care what is says on my passport or yours, it is my choice to support Republic and would like to see the monarchy end when the current queen dies. I DO feel embarrassed when the world look upon this country and see people living on the street whilst one family has huge state funded property and land on a wide scale. I used the example of tourism (check the most visited attraction) and insults as this is what I am usually subjected to when taking a different view to your average royalist flag waver. ---------- Post added 10-09-2015 at 11:41 ---------- LooB, in answer to your question " What's that got to do with it?" when i describe myself as a subscibing republican. I was referring to the fact that i pay monthly to the Republic campaign movement to end royalty. If thats what your question means.
  5. "Asians" is a very broad term. In this case and similar ones i think it is quite obvious who are involved. I would be quite annoyed if I was an Indian and potentially implicated with these actions just because of also being Asian.
  6. I'm a subscribing republican (Republic) and my opinion of the royals is that they more than take advantage and the queen's offspring are generally useless, and not role models or inspring. It seems very much a job anyone who has a reasonable standard of education could do. You certainly wouldn't need to be born into it. Please enlighten me as to why you find them so awe inspiring withiout mentioning tourism (easily disproved) or resorting to insults as royalist often do when asked to quantify their views, thanks. ---------- Post added 10-09-2015 at 09:23 ---------- Think i give the three cheers a miss, thanks.
  7. Clicked on your link intending to make a small donation ( as i usually do when i see these links) and it doesn't exist, hope that's good news then.
  8. Yes it is if there are no breakdowns, accidents, incidents, lane closures, road closures, bad weather, scummy ignorant drivers etc etc. In years of driving down and back i think i have only once managed it in around 6 hours. I love Cornwall but HATE the drive down (and back).
  9. How can solar panels not do anything to reduce CO2? If you are using sunlight to produce electricity you are using, then you are not using electricity from coal or oil powered power stations?
  10. Anyone understand what the government is up to with reduced FiT payments? Is it for new installs or will it be applied retrospectively? Seems the Tories are pro-fracking and would rather support that for "some reason".
  11. Can't see any mention of freehold or leasehold in the ad. Is this somethiong you have considered?
  12. Thanks really useful info. The quality of the "Schreiber" example kitchen in the shop looked very good, i have fitted Sheffield Kitchen Outlet kitchen before and this seemed to be on a par, so have been tempted and of course they currently have 60% off plus another 15% for spend over £150. All irrelevant though if they can't deliver the product!
  13. thanks neeeek This is exactly what is being said on the 'net. Terrible fitting, parts missing and awful customer service. Was yours Schreiber btw? if so what was the quality of the units like?
  14. Hi all, on the verge of buying a Schriber kitchen from Homebase, but the net is full of bad reviews, especially about fitting. Anyone any experience of Homebase kitchens please, thanks in advance. Mods I checked and the existing threads are too old to be of use really.
  15. Ha-ha, of course not. These are not just 4 hour max though, they specify Pure Gym customers only. I just didn't notice that.
  16. Don't look at them, don't speak to them, don't feel any shame totally ignoring them. They are only doing it for themselves. I work near the Moor and have no problem pretending they don't exist when they approach me.
  17. It just says there is a fine of £100 for parking in that section, £60 if paid in so many days. CCTV monitored. No notice on entering but high up on some poles are the warning signs, I didn't realise they weren't the generic ones about 4 hours max stay.
  18. Hi, wondering if anyone else has found themselves in a similar position. I just went to Argos at Drakehouse and parked away from the busiest bit but when I came back i realised I had parked in a section that belongs to Pure Gym. No ticket or anything and i asked in cafe if i would have been done and they said I should be OK. (no access into Pure Gym). Am i likely to hear any more of it? I'm away for 2 weeks from tomorrow so would not be aware of any notification until I got back, thanks in advance.
  19. Remploy for one. And i know he didn't start the ball rolling but he certainly gave it a huge kick. I am fortunately not handicapped but have sympathy for those affected. ---------- Post added 04-08-2015 at 09:01 ---------- You aware of Republic movement woody? you can be part of it for as little as £2. Graham Smith a great leader of the cause. Google Republic, free yourselves from serfdom.
  20. Thanks dyke, i have signed. When it comes to scum you need look no further than IDS.
  21. Graham Smith for how he is bravely trying to create a real democracy for ALL.
  22. If you just want to get the debt off your back and not get involved in all the "not allowed to this / that etc" do you have some thing that exceeds the value that you could you use for collateral to get a loan?
  23. Thanks for the useful answer, i'll give them a call. To the other predictable replies, yes i know, and it's to make the interior a little cooler and more secure as it's also used for camping. So i'm aware of pitfalls, just want recommendations please.
