  1. I think mine's pretty obvious! C'mon you Sharks... You forumers really should head to a game sometime, it's a great evening!
  2. I met Alice Cooper too! He was having curry in Meadowhall at 11am on a monday morning. Now that's rock and roll! Weirder thing was I saw him again on the same day at 11pm totally ******! Also had dinner on the table next to George Clooney. Not sure if anyone will know her, but I used to be best mates with Melanie Boorman. She's one of the regulars in the lads mags with the likes of Lucy and Michelle etc... a bit D-list really!
  3. Streetwise Sports usually run an offer where you can get free shirt printing when you buy a shirt from their shop. Not sure if this is still the case or whether it's just limited to teams they are affiliated with (donny, blades, latics etc...)
  4. I use CEX just up from Cavells, been there today actually, Ross Noble DVD for six quid! I've bought a few games and DVD's from there now, it's the cheapest place I know of. The only downside is the waiting time. It seems they have no sense of urgency in there. You get three guys just sitting yapping behind the till doing sweet FA when there's a queue a mile long. If I ran that place and had queues so long I'd be thinking about retaining customers by giving them a better shopping experience. A 10/15 min wait every time you visit just to hand over your money is a bit over the top...
  5. Maybe it's the 'trust thing' that made him tell you? Instead of thinking he's decieved you all this time, maybe look on it as has seen you as someone he can trust. I have had friends come out before and I know it is a very difficult thing to do. I hope you manage to keep your friendship
  6. I have a large tattoo on my back, it covers most of the top half, over the shoulders and up the back of my neck. It took a total of seven and a half hours! It was my first tattoo so I too was wondering wqhat it was going to feel like as I had heard so many descriptions of different feelings from different people. At first I thought 'woah this is weird' but gradually went on to 'I suppose it's not too bad' but nearing the end it was more like 'I wonder how long it'll be before I pass out'! With it being so large it covered different areas, over bone and over more fleshy areas. Contrary to what other people say I found the boney areas to hurt less, over my collar bone, for example. I guess everyone is different though. I got my tat done nearly four years ago and still love it! Be sure to post us a picture up when you've had it done!
  7. Have you guys ever had like a 'Rogue's Gallery' thread on here? We had one on another board I use and it was quite interesting to see what everyone looks like! It was made a sticky thread and people are still adding to it now around a month on...
  8. Lleyton Hewitt is one of the world's best tennis players, so at least if he's considered ugly, *I* can still play tennis!
  9. I didn't know you posted on here too Kay! I can vouch for Playa Blanca if you head down that way, it's the southern most tip of the island. I lived there for a while and never had a dull day. There's plenty of water sports to do and the Irish Anvil bar is by far one of the best pubs I have ever visited, especially for live music. Puerto Del Carmen is much busier as far as night life goes, and such is a lot more crowded. I agree on a previous poster's sentiment, avoid Arrecife. It's good for two things. Planes and a shopping mall! It's also the only place you'll find traffic lights on the Island! Not that that's relevant in the slightest...!
  10. A few years ago I used to have my hair bleached blonde. I was working over seas so quite often wore a baseball cap backwards to keep the sun off my neck. I was told from a few people that I looked like Lleyton Hewitt! Is this good or bad?!
  11. I catch the bus daily in Sheffield. The journey home from Meadowhall is terrible. Almost every day they have to turn people away as it is too full. I used to live in Huddersfield and in comparison they miles ahead. Virtually all the buses are brand new, they are comfortable, have very little grafitti and are pretty much always punctual. Oh, and they're cheaper!
  12. Sorry, I didn't mean to kick off a big arguement about spelling! I've seen people brought down on other boards before even when they don't deliberately get their spellings wrong. I can understand people's frustrations at trying to read 'text message' language when they have been brought up using the Queen's English, I'm not overly keen on it myself. My original post could've been clearer in that I meant I don't agree with pointing it out when the original poster made a genuine error. Apologies.
  13. I don't think a person's spelling/grammar ability is really any reason to add to a thread, Ken. Not everyone is perfect.
  14. Shiesh, when you say 'I hate that place', were you referring to Meadowhall or the shop on the Lanes?
  15. Thanks for your suggestions. 7.9p per pound?! Pah! I think I'll bag them all up and pay them in the bank instead...
  16. Does anyone know where I could find one of those machines where you can take all your coppers and have them swapped for notes? Preferably in the city centre... I know there used to be one in Sainsburys in Meadowhall but I've never seen them anywhere else.
  17. Heya people. I don't post on here much but thought I should tonight. Lately I have PM'd a fair few people on SF amd I have met a few lately as well due to renting a room. I just wanted to say that everyone I have PM'd or met absolutely rocks! Sheffield forum, as far as I am concerned, is full of wicked people! Keep it up folks, you rock! From the Lee Dude (Like the Lebowski but I can't bowl...)
  18. MMA stands for mixed martial arts. Are the classes suitable for total novices, not overly healthy, but keen to get fit?
  19. Code 13 - Basketball wasn't actually invented in Canada, but it was invented by a Canadian man, Dr. James A. Naismith while he was working at a YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts. As for Ice Hockey I can't really comment! Ohpityme - I play quite a bit of basketball, albeit it at a lower level! With it being the summer I'm not getting the chance to play as much. If you know of any other people who would like to get together for a game let me know. Is there anyone else on the board that would be interested in playing? If we can get a few together I'd be happy to ring around for a court...
  20. I work on the Lanes so if there's any special message you want me to pass on...?
  21. The first car I bought was a Peugeot 306. I'd wanted one of these since my Dad bought a Sedan model when I was younger. I finally got around to buying a 95 model, 1.9 litre engine, turbo diesel with a little over 100,000k on the clock. It runs amazingly sweet, it is in immaculate condition and feels like it is new. I only paid 600 for it. Obviously everyone recommending a car will go with something they have experience with. My experience is a 306, and going along with other reviews from different owners I know, you wouldn't make a bad choice with a Peugeot. Happy car hunting.
  22. Mr. Pink - that you James?! Not sure what's going on with the Sunday sessions which is why I was seeing if anyone would be interested in starting something afresh. Mixed teams are no problem, anyone's welcome to play Would obviously need more than we have so far though. If anyone knows other people who would also like to play, see if you can get any names down. Anyone else up for it?
  23. Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing some recreational basketball. I was thinking if I could get a good few people interested, maybe we could book a hall for a couple of hours, maybe make it a regular thing, just for a run like, nothing too competitive. I already play a couple of times a week with different teams but myself and a couple of others would like to get another session running, maybe on a Sunday or possibly a week night. Anyone intersted?
