  1. The insurance know about the keys, we have CCTV and coppers have seen it due to trying to catch the thief! That website should help though, she was still in attendance of the car, just a few metres away whilst shouting her daughter down at the front door. Still not found the car! Not surprised though, I think it's a professional car thief who took it! Hopefully karma will get its own back.
  2. Thanks everyone. It was stupid, so many people leave their cars running to warm up. Our lane is very quiet, and we have a private drive off of the road so you can't see the cars. Obviously wouldn't do it on the road! It wasn't fully unattended, my mum was shouting my sister at the front door. Just wasn't quick enough to stop him.
  3. Land rover discovery, fairly new, red, stolen this morning at 8am in todwick. If anyone has any info please let us know, we are offering £1000 to the person who provides it's safe return. Reg number S10 MVH, but the reg plates will probably have been swapped. Urging all other car owners in the s25/26 area, please don't leave your car unattended whilst de icing. There's been quite a few stolen this morning.
  4. I do think that in Sheffield there should be more of a support system in place for people that suffer with MS. I treated a patient recently who had MS but she didnt need much working on. She had managed to control her symptoms through diet and food and was a very inspirational lady. She believed that diet made a massive difference in her health and it was the main thing, as well as having a positive attitude, that helped her beat a lot of the symptoms. Of course, she is always going to suffer from MS but her symptoms are much more manageable now.
  5. I practice traditional chinese medicine - mostly acupuncture with some other techniques. According to TCM, when a stiff neck occurs, it can be caused by a number of factors, one being the invasion of wind or cold into the body. This can be the result from not covering up in winter and cold weather, or from draughts and penetrates into the body through that area. This is just a theory, and many people are skeptical about TCM, some things I dont believe in as I am quite a skeptical person, but after training in it and practicing for a number of years, it does start to make you believe that these things must have some kind of significance. After all, Chinese medicine is one of the oldest forms of medicine in the world today, so they must be doing something right. Hope that gives some sort of explanation for you.
  6. 'Although I agree in some part Scoop, I don’t feel the physio would be the right route at present, until a diagnosis as to the cause is established' I agree. With something as serious as this, do not go down the route of alternative physical treatments until you have a diagnosis. One, it could be dangerous and make the condition worse, and two, it is easier for a therapist to treat when they know what it is that is causing the problem. Keep pushing your case to try and get seen quicker, make it clear how much pain he is in. And good luck, hope he gets better soon.
  7. I agree with the above. Unfortunately, sometimes things go wrong and there isnt much chance of you receiving compensation. However, for many of you who suffer from back pain and have tried everything else, physio, osteo etc, then please think about trying acupuncture. I know I am biased as I do this as a profession, but I see so many patients who have suffered for a long time and improve within a few weeks of trying it. There are plenty of acupuncturists around sheffield area (central and on the outskirts, (just make sure you try someone specialised in TCM and not medical acupuncture as they are better qualified). Hope this helps. Megan
  8. Very good physio called Jason Chidwick. He works with a football team in Birmingham but also works at my clinic one or two nights a week. Phone number 07725623713. Not expensive.
  9. The Big Tops playcentre in dinnington is great. http://www.thebigtops.co.uk
  10. Are you drinking enough water? Dehydration can bring about headaches. Have you noticed any triggers such as foods, or certain activities (using computer etc) that may strain your eyes. If you have tried everything else, think about trying acupuncture. It is very effective in the treatment of headaches/migraines. Kind regards, Megan
  11. What kind of room are you looking for? size etc?
  12. Hi, The Big Tops playcentre in dinnington does lazer parties. You can go in for admission and laser, or have an actual laser party. Not sure on prices, but its a great venue. Tel: 01909560110 http://www.thebigtops.co.uk
  13. 'http://www.sciencedirect.com/science...04395910006895 Truly effective.... ' Obelix, you have chosen one study out of many. If you look on the British Acupuncture Councils website you will see the comparison of many studies on this topic. Acupuncture studies are usually poor quality and techniques as there is no money available to perform quality ones. You cannot judge the efficacy of acupuncture on one poor quality study.
  14. Acupuncture is very effective for post operative pain. If you want to give me a call i would be happy to explain in more detail if needed, but see the link below. Hope you are ok. http://acupuncture.org.uk/research-fact-sheets/1186-acupuncture-and-post-operative-pain.html
  15. Hi there. I dont know if it is something you have considered or not, but acupuncture is a very effective therapy for treating emotional disorders including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, post traumatic stress etc. I have had success in treating a number of these cases and seen fantastic results. If you want more info give me a call, and if S26 is a bit far, there are quite a few acupuncturists in the centre of sheffield. But if you are having no luck with any other treatments, please think about trying it. Kind regards, Megan (Naturels)
