  1. Hello IanN & welcome to SF. Have you read all of the 15 pages to this post? Plenty of names and reminiscences already there. Enjoy .
  2. Plan B sounds the best idea. Once it goes there is not much stopping it. Coopers used to do it until the overhead power lines looked like they were going to arc out with the amount of carbon in the air they stopped doing it . I got changing chassis down to a fine art, to the point I could do it in my sleep. (Police once caught me doing it in the middle of the road (cul-de-sac) shook their heads, laughed & buggered off 🤣 . Built a few trikes over the years and have something of a long-term project in't garage (proper frame not a bodged chassis). Keep safe .
  3. 86 years ago even if they were only 16 in 1936 they'd be 102 now. Sounds like your gonna need help 🤣
  4. Probably the same person who sold you the whip and top and told you it was the future in gaming 🤣 🤣 Be careful out there it's a wicked deceitful world out there 🤣
  5. Lydia Deetz from "Beetlejuice" You're most likely an angsty teenager who appreciate all things strange and unusual. You're completely different from the rest of your family! Amazing style, btw! Thats me to a T Although the 'teenager' part wouldn't stand up in court. Was hoping for Myra Lewis, could have spent some time with Jerry Lee 🤣
  6. Enjoy her while you can Cressi, before someone decides she was really a trans he 🤣. Worlds gone daft
  7. S B C must have been so astute in 2001 for his survey to be still relevant and that it would still be used in clinical screening 21 years later. Somethings simply do not stand the test of time. Me, I'm off to decide, whether to find somewhere still selling typewriter ribbon or simply continue printing stuff through 'word' 🤣 . Keep safe out there .
  8. Plantation House 259 Ecclesall Road Might have been grand back in the day. Keep safe .
  9. Contrary to popular belief, I'm alright 🧐 not to say that people with Autism aren't all right (I'll give up now 🦶 👄 🧭) I do wonder about these questionnaires. Does anyone actually allow for how the world has changed ❓ Does anyone up-date them? the one above is from 2001 Making IMO some of the questions no longer relevant (and my sense of humour working overtime). Social situations have changed over the last 21 years. The workplace has certainly changed as has socialising in general. The whole format of ticking box's as to if you 'Definitely agree / Slightly agree / Slightly disagree / Definitely disagree' leaves no leeway in answers. Q 2; I prefer to do things the same way over and over again. Come on, how does anyone answer that truthfully? (Unless your an automaton). Of course, we all like to do the same thing over and over again. Would you think F***it, today instead of getting the butter, milk, and marmalade out of the fridge for HTSBO's breakfast at the same time, I'll do it differently today, I'll fetch them all separately one at a time Or not boil the kettle while the bread is in the toaster, I'll wait while the toast is done then put kettle on Simple answer of course we like regimentation. Q13: I would rather go to a library than a party. (A) Come on, find a library that is still open and why bother when the internet is at your fingertips! (B) The definition of 'Party' has changed, especially if you're a 'Politician' where a party can be defined as not a party at all 🤣 🤣 Q21; I don't particularly like reading fiction. How is it even relevant? Someone might be the most prolific of readers but by choice doesn't find fiction to their taste. Bit of a wild assumption if you don't like fiction your autistic in some way Finally, Loved this question. Q49; I am not very good at remembering peoples date of birth. Totally failed on this one and had to 'Definitely agree' In my Defence, 9 kids, 20 Grandkids & 2 Great grandkids, (+ my siblings) I have all on remembering their names . Back on track Historically inaccurate characters. Just started watching 'Wednesday' (Netflix). (Addams family) Gomez is a fat (sorry) rather large in stature portly Puerto Rican. Straight away you think the producers must have gotten that wrong. No, we've been accustomed to seeing Gomez Addams portrayed as some swashbuckling suave character. Gomez originally started off appearing in cartoons in the 1930's exactly as the characterisation in the new TV series. Personally, I think Luis Guzman looks too villainousness. But Hey-Ho Keep safe out there
  10. Hello Jim The early Bonds were the ones that had kick starts (and Villiers engines) until the Dynostart Having no reverse gear was a provision of being able to drive a 3-wheeler on a motorcycle licence. Reliant gearboxes were built with reverse gears, a blanking plate was fitted so reverse could not be selected. This law was revised in 1963 but the misconception Reliant's don't have reverse gears continues. The later bonds had Imp engines, and the Bond Bug had nothing to do with Bond, basically it was the forerunner to Reliants, Robin. I've driven plenty of Land Rovers and Reliant's have to be a close 2nd for interior noise, drafts and harsh rides 🤣. Would we swap them I've a nice photo of my 65 Regal, proper Jag and my Senator. I could never decide which one to drive Mr's Rocker liked the Jag, Lad always wanted picking up from school in't Regal and the Senator was my guilty pleasure pre speed camera days . The young pups don't know what real motoring is about, cosseted in their air bagged cocoons. Keep safe out there & remember a car has to be more than A-B, 🧐
  11. The Sandman (Netflix 11 episodes) No spoilers (ish). Left wide open at the end (shame) Some of the episodes are better than others. For me typical Neil Gaiman with more than a nod to Terry Pratchett. Well worth watching, but is it simply a darker version of 'Good Omens'? My preference would be Good Omens and looking forward to the second series. Keep safe out there and binge responsibly
  12. Mk 1 mostly alloy with some Fibreglass panels Mk 3 all fibreglass (except the wooden floors 🤣) Not mine but the same model. just the bodywork to do & putting back together
  13. This is the (deluxe) (optional extra) heater for the 1957 Reliant (Convertible) I'm restoring. The blower (6v fan) is fitted under the dash & drags the warmth (?) from the radiator via a pipe that connects the two.
  14. Radiator, cooling systems, & engine development over the years is the simple answer. We've come a long way from Side valve engines, 6 volt Positive earth electrical systems, vacuum wipers, 3 speed gearboxes and cars made like tanks, that had as much in the way of aerodynamics as one. LOL, we didn't even have heaters as standard in some cars. Happy daze changing to studded tyres or chains when snow was down .
  15. I don't believe in anything like that. Rhocker 🤣
  16. Depending on the run time, still gonna be cheaper than fillin with fuel 🤣
  17. Excellent idea DADDY ✔️ Take the responsibility out of the hands of the NHS and hand over the job to the army. All together now. Nee Nar, Nee Nar, Nee Nar. .
  18. We shouldn't be splitting this great little country of ours. The miss management of central government feathering their own nest while cutting local government spending and services across the country is at fault Anything north of Watford as the old saying goes, can be forgotten, as can be seen with the debacle over a new route of the promised then reneged on rail route over the Pennines to Bradford (while chucking millions away elsewhere). Us up here in't North feel hard done to, no wonder the call for independency keeps arising in Scotland. (Even ignoring Sturgeons not so hidden real reasons for wanting independency) A United Kingdom should be just that Keep safe out there .
  19. I kept most of my books / car / motorcycle magazines I bought at an early age. and just kept building on what is quite an eclectic collection. (Mrs Rocker uses a different word ☹️). First book I was ever given (Birthday present) 'Two years before the mast'. still not sure I understand all those nautical terms . Swiss Family Robinson film has to be one of the best films ever made. If him upstairs ever graces us with a sizable win on't lottery I'm havin a Tree house same as in the film, and a be-spoke library on two floors, with curly stairs on both sides and a veranda, in the main house 🧐. That would do . Modern life isn't rubbish . Driving in't rain with pillocks with no lights on (usually in black BMW's) in the early morning is. Keep safe out there
  20. I visited my local library not so long ago. Totally disappointed, I've more books on a better range of subjects in my attic, than they had on their shelves ☹️. Keep safe and read well
