House building should be stopped for the environment

I feel so sad for the future as we are building on this green and pleasant land, people say there is a housing shortage and that the solution is to build more homes

This is not the solution, concreting over the countryside, we want green spaces

What will we hand down to the next generation of people? a concrete jungle

Is this what we want, the total destruction of our green spaces?

This is so short sighted and wrong, we need to think about the environment and whats right for everyone

Plus I don't want to lose the value on my homes because if demand is reduced it means my 3 homes will be worth less.

It can't have escaped your notice that 93% of the UK is not urbanised. That's right: most of us are crammed into 7% of the available land.

He's posting from under a bridge again. Look at the last paragraph. He's hoping that people complain about someone having three (probably imaginary) houses not wanting any more built.

If you let 2 of your 3 homes, that would be setting a good example. ie 2 less houses needed on green land.

A quick google says (Vince Cable) we need to build 300,000 per year, wonder what rogets thinks about that and the price of fish.

We build on just 10% of the land space in our country. Germany for example build on 16% and they have not concreted over their country.

So long as the population is growing, this will put pressure on the housing stock, its the needs of the rising population that is the issue for the environment.

No Greenbelt land should ever be built on . We do not want our countryside to vanish . Housing should only be allowed on brownfield sites .
