Lucy-Lastic
WHY??? The new school will be one of the best in Sheffield. It might be one of the newest with shiney new gizmos and wotsits but that doesnt constitute a school being the best in my books:(
loopylulu
WHY??? The new school will be one of the best in Sheffield. Â How do you know it will be one of the best in Sheffield? A brand new building doesnt constitute the school as being the best. The teachers might be crap, and for a start you dont know who might be running the school in first place. Â I dont want my child having to walk all the way to the new school in the rain, wind and snow, and I dont want them having to walk home in the dark either!! At least Bradfield has buses to and from school.
Tintsexpert
The new school will "proberbly" be a much loved by the labour government trust fund. that in itself bring a whole lot of issues.
sanman
The way addmissions work is thus; You live in the catchment area with sibbling You live within the catchment area, sibblings at the school but you live out of catchment area, attending a catchment feeder primary but outside the catchment area, the surplus places are then put out for people out of catchment area. Â In theory we have a choice, in practice we dont. Dont be fooled in to thinking if you are out of catchment you will get a place over someone in catchment. Â People lie, cheat & get solicitors to get there kids in to school these days. I think you forgot that these are proceeded with: Â Children with Special Needs Looked After Children

Username1
I can't understand why some people are so against sending their kids to the new school. Obviously new buildings and shiny new PC's don't make a good school but surely a school that has the best of everything will attract a large number of teachers wanting to work in such a school thus the best ones can be selected? Â Dare I say a lot of this debate is nothing but pure snobbery and pig headedness
