Bradfield School

My wife went to Bradfield - left in 75.

 

She keeps in contact with some of her old friends back in Oughtibrdge.

 

She has been told that Bradfield School celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and as such, is having a reunion day - July 1st i think - teh school website has details.

Bit later than some of you 80-85.

Teachers,

Mr Luff -as above, retired end of my 1st year

Tweek - best teacher I ever had

Mr Milner?, Mr Murray (Murray Mints) -History, gave me det for calling him that

Kinder and Towning -Games

Wardle, Holmes, Clotworthy and Lambourne - Science, Mr Holmes also did the school discos

Mrs Varley & Miss Boardman - Maths

Manley - Woodwork

Bancroft- R.E. also sorted the coaches so you finished early if you had him last lesson

Warby-never quite sure what he was supposed to teach

Tom? Ashworth -Art, great guy my form teacher second year

Mr Wheeler and Mr Richards - English

Steve? Dent - Economics, always going on about City Boy and The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, every example of supply and demand involved Mars bars

 

If I think of any more I will be back

Golden Jubilee CelebrationsThis year marks the 50th Anniversary of the founding of Bradfield School.

To mark this milestone in the school’s history we are planning a “Golden Jubilee Day” on Sunday 1st July at the school.

Please put the date in your diary and continue to watch the Web Site for more details which we will publish as soon as they become available.

This will be a fun event for all the family, featuring:

a reunion of current and past students and staff

craft fayre and stalls

fun events for children

auction of donated goods (donated goods welcome)

musical entertainment

refreshments and much, much more....

I was at bradfield school from 84-89,lookin for anyone who left in 89

i was at bradfield 68-73 and my wife was there 71-76 and i am listed in friends reunited

 

as to middlewood hospital afaik it was only the clock tower that was listed?

The Bradfield School anniversary was cancelled last because of the floods - does anyone know if there are any plans for it to go ahead this summer ?

No idea.

 

But I Went to Bradfield and left in 98. I was in Mr Smart's form for the first year and then Mr Crownshaw's the rest!
