What is the difference between the XBOX 360 Core System and the XBOX 360 Full System?

Also what are the graphics like compared to the playstation 2?

I'm thinking about getting one for xmas!!

The core system I believe doesn't come with the hard drive..

I bought an XBOX 360 a few weeks back as my playstation 2 is back in Sheffield gathering dust

The graphics are in some cases quite amazing and I've quickly filled up on games like Test Drive, Blazing Angels and WWE Smackdown Vs RAW 2007..

Thanks for the reply, do you need the hard drive to play the games??

I think you do on some, plus you also need somewhere to store saved games :)

I'd go for the full system..

The hard dirve is good for xbox live games and demos which you download..

Plus if you went for the basic packarge then you will still need a mem card anyway to save like d2j said which is like 15 - 20 pound.

and as its near xmas they are some good bundle deals around :)

so best to just cut straight to the bone and the full 360 system :)

or will just want the hard drive in the end anyway

Fancy a game one night on Smackdown versus RAW 2007? My gamertag is RICHYALLEN.

Prepare to get handed your virtual ass though, I rock at this game now that I've got the hang of the controls :D

Don't even think of getting the cheap one. You NEED the 20GB HDD. Without it you can't save, download game updates and patches or games/game demos from X-Box Live. Just buying the HDD on it's own is £64.99, so do the math.

It's one hell of a machine - just try not to get addicted to getting the achievement points on the games like me!

Get on X-Box Live! as soon as you can as well. Worth it for the demos and the X-Box Live! arcade games. Cloning Clyde is great!

1st 3 games to buy for my money would be:

Gears Of War

Saints Row

Dead Rising
