happyhippy
Anyway, my top 5 shows/series ..... in no particular order ....... Fawlty Towers (12 half hours of pure genius) Dangermouse (that cartoon was ALWAYS meant for grown ups) The Old Grey Whistle Test (ended when I was young - a huge shame) Dispatches (unerringly good reporting) The Blue Planet (proof that the license fee is worth paying)
Albatross
Red Dwarf (prefer Claire Grogan as Kochanski tho) Auf Wiedersehen Pet And I gotta go along with the happyhippy, Fawlty Towers. Have em all on DVD

Guest
X-Files Frasier Buffy Friends Hart to Hart The early seasons of ER Blackadder, especially series 2, though they were all excellent. Red Dwarf (but not the last couple of series with the dreadful 'new' Kochansky- bring back Claire Grogan!)
Chipmunk
Early Doors. Don't think it was that popular but makes me laugh every time I watch it.

Agreed - by far the best of the modern sitcoms, yet it was the office that got all the plaudits!! I guess it's a northern/southern thing.....?! But as for the greatest show of all time - Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. But only the first 2 series..... I liked the 3 new ones they did, but a (almost) politically correct Oz just wasn't the same. Especially agree with Red Dwarf comments, how off Earth could they replace Claire Grogan:loopy:
