Person A happens to look at Person B in a way B doesn't like, or bumps into them, or talkes to their boy/girlfriend, and then it becomes 'disrespect'. As soon as some people start carrying weapons and overreacting to these perceived slights, then more people start to carry for protection... and thus it spirals. Person A happens to look at Person B in a way B doesn't like, or bumps into them, or talkes to their boy/girlfriend, and then it becomes 'disrespect'. As soon as some people start carrying weapons and overreacting to these perceived slights, then more people start to carry for protection... and thus it spirals. Interestingly that is an extreme version of what has happened here on this thread where there is a pointless argument about something irrelevant, no one will give in, goes on and on, people intervene to no avail.
