Should Hallamshire Hospital Be Moved To Attercliffe

Both wrong.

The Tram runs up/down West St to/from the A61 Ring Road, not far from RHH.

And there are at least some buses from Ecclesall Rd. (but not the old no.50- shame!)

Not far? Its 1/4 mile maybe more

Disabled people struggle as its uphill

Hallamshire is difficult to get to from the south of Sheffield

You have to go deep into city centre to get the tram that still doesn't go close or a bus

No way to get to Hallamshire from ecclesall road / london road without going all the way to fargate

No A&E deems this hospital abit of a waste in my opinion

This needs attention

A whole hospital is a waste  because it has no A&E. What a very odd thing to say.

Most hospitals in Sheffield/England/World do not have A&E facilities,

The RHH does have a Minor Injuries Unit and a Walk-In Centre and a under 18s A&E nearby.

The facilities and expertise available in such a small area is brilliant compared with other big cities/regions

There was a time when you had to buy the Star to find out if the A&E was at the NGH. RHH. Royal or Royal Infirmary or which Hospital to have your baby.

Given that Sheffield is built on 7 hills some people will struggle....

It has a very good Minor Injuries Unit though.

I’ve found the Hallamshire to be far more professional than the NGH, albeit very limited. If it was moved to Attercliffe and it’s  usage expanded it would suit me even though I live in S17.

Its 2024, third world countries have better facilities

oh no lets spend £500million on the heart of the city instead of things people actually want

your  erroneous assumptions have ben comprehensivley  dealt with by others...

i'd like to dig  deeper into your assumption that   if a hospital doesn;t have an Emergency Department  it;s a 'waste of time' ...

do you want  Emergency Departments to by  24/7 COnsultant levle doctor lead ? or do you  want a return to the pre MTC  days of  preventable deaths  due ot patients being taken to the wrong hospital   with an understafed Emergenct dept   solely becasue it was the closest ?

Uk citizens earn on average substantially less than than our American allies with the excuse that we get better health care?

yet for example i'm still waiting to see a specialist doctor 4 months after being told a march appointment would be the earliest

A&E is a minimum 2hours to be seen

x-ray is still preferred over MRI

Its pathetic, your hours here on earth are diminishing and the NHS puts cost before your wellbeing

Should i complain once i'm dead?

in what way do 'third world countries' have better facilities ?

Sheffield   has  both an Adult  (NGH) and Paediatric (SCH) Major Trauma Centre,  these hospitals  have full Emergency Departments, NGH is also the  PPCI Centre for South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw

the RHH has a Urgent Treatment Centre which is well established

with 30 minutes of  Sheffield there are a number of  hospitals with Emergency Departments who are accredited Trauma Units

Sheffield and South Yorkshire is primarily covered by the Yorkshire  Ambulance  although there are mutla aid  arrangmeents with DLR and  LNAA  and HMCG

thank you for taking the  time ot demonstrate your utter clinical illiteracy

with regard to  imaging modality  i refer you to the RCR  purple Book / iRefer and it;s evidence base ...
