We either live in a Free Country or we don’t, my wife and I can now, for the first time ever, manage with one car, however that’s our choice and not that of Big Brother. We also live in a largish 3 bed detached house, perhaps this should be deemed as being too big for us.

I can assure you that breaking down on Clapham Common one morning during rush hour causing that much chaos it made the traffic news... Was anything but character building!!

Or a cylinder head gasket at the side of the road on the van that’s broke down , plenty of gung and glue as no time for skimming , back home by tea time .

Bypass hose on a Morris 1100 sprang a leak. It was tremendous fun (NOT) trying to replace it without taking the cylinder head off!

The characters I built, which I never knew existed, probably belonged in an X rated film.😁
