If you are going to back up your argument with some sort of evidence in this way then, 1 - make sure the evidence exists. 2 - Provide a link rather than expect us to find it. In this case, I'll not bother so you have no way of backing up what you say. You also claimed that Burnham "prevented a report" and it seems that again, your story has changed since you were asked about this. Better explain who or what I am supposed to be apologising for because I want full justice for the victims of grooming but NOT resting on the basis of incorrect or misleading statements from someone who doesn't care whether what he says is factually correct. I take truth very seriously whether you do or not. Some news items called it a report some called it an inquiry, your pedantry doesn't change the fact that what was said was horrific. 4 hours ago, Delbow said: Perhaps Tops is referring to this meeting Zero mention of Andy Burnham being present or preventing anything. Pedantry again, he stayed silent when a call for an enquiry was mentioned, an enquiry into Oldham had already been rejected four times.

No its this one: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-61968760 Just watched that and I do agree that the whole situation is a disgrace and reflects extremely badly on everyone involved including Burnham. What were local MP's of both parties doing at the time and why wasn't action taken in Westminster. Please notice how you get much further when providing a proper link. Another example of much talk from politicians and very little action. Instead of doing something, we gat a load of reports, inquiries etc, which change nothing. Lets just say he hasn't been shouting from the rooftops for one, it's quite staggering that after an inquiry into the horrific, industrial scale sexual abuse of underage girls by Pakistani men aided and abetted by the authorities the only thing you seem concerned about is how particular posts are worded, you really do need to get a grip. If Oldham is ever looked into in any detail it will probably make Rochdale look like a tea party.

Looks like the first arrest re: child sexual exploitation in Oldham was made last August; https://www.gmp.police.uk/news/greater-manchester/news/news/2023/august/operation-sherwood-makes-first-arrest/ as part of "Operation Sherwood" launched by GMC; https://www.farleys.com/oldham-child-sexual-abuse-major-police-investigation-launched/
