Not at all. I am suggesting the law is changed to bring back the birch.  It was used as recently as the 1970's on the Isle of Man.   A form of birching is used in Singapore.  We do not hear about protesters causing havoc in Singapore and disrupting sporting events.

no jail does nothing and doesnt deter, i and many others would love to see the birch brought back its the only thing these idiots would understand and it would stop a lot of other petty crime also!
