Admittedly I haven't seen many Sheffield Wednesday games, but I used to go with a mate in the early 70s occasionally. I remember being impressed with John Holsgrove and Dave Clements but neither seem to get mentioned often.

I was age eleven when Quixall left for Man Utd, so don’t feel qualified to vote one way or the other, my favourite player by a country mile was Chris Waddle.

Jackie Sewell

If you look at old photos of Hillsboro stadium Cuttsie,

In the centre of the North Stand, it says,

                                                                   SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY.

                                                                                         🕒

                                                                               HILLSBORO.

I don't know if its still there, but just above the sign is some ironwork.

In the ironwork is a football.

Back in the 50s Albert Broadbent took a corner, and that's how the ball got there.

Just an interesting "Padders" fact.

I was once at Brammall Lane when the ball  came into the crowd and Ted Skinner. A hod carrier shoved it up his jumper and  took it hoooam . The game was stopped for 5 mins  wi all players stood around waiting for ball , Skinner was  not bothered one bit

Just an ordinary Sheffielder Cuttsie.
