Haymarket/Castlegate - Will It Improve?

If they don't have the money to build it then they should just sell the land so someone can build on it

Instead SCC will leave it for another 10 years of empty derelict land

It will be started but not finished as it was promised .

So before its even started , they want more money to complete it .

Whose "they"? SCC? The contractor?

I can't see any reference to wanting more money for completion in that article?

Keltbray, oh dear.

Most of their workforce would be outsmarted by a single cell organism..

Strong words...on what basis are you saying that?

there is something if you follow the link in that link....

takes you here

"The works will be mainly funded through a successful Levelling Up Fund bid"

it's something that's been popping up quite a bit recently : there are projects all over the place (country) that are being funded by government grants - that were costed 3 years ago, only to find that contractor prices have risen 20-30% (often much more!)

It'll probably be AMEY

They get all the contract for some not suspicious reason

Even though AMEY charge 10 times what it should cost a project and takes decades to complete projects

This one I guess.

I would rather see the land sold to developers. Is there anything much left of the castle ruins worth keeping?

Never mind the castle . Why put a mock up out showing the finished article when they know there’s a good chance it wouldn’t be finished like that . I notice in the link you provided there was no mention of needing extra money.0

Why do  Castlegate shops keep getting mentioned- there was never any shops on there ( only bus stops)  except a betting shop next to the old Bull & Mouth pub. Perhaps what's meant is the triangle of Castlegate. Waingate and Exchange Street?
