Now £2.00 from £1.50 to go from Stannington down to Hillsborough. Also the stop has moved, it (the 82) used to stop at the bus interchange stop but now it goes beyond it and stops at the next one.

To minimise confusion, for adult tickets I’ve listed the tickets for Sheffield first then the tickets for a wider area (such as all of South Yorkshire) separate. Note where Supertram has rail replacement works taking place, for the purposes of ticketing buses that are a dedicated tram replacement services are considered tram services.

It is generally just once a year - Travelmaster/rail tickets in January, operator specific tickets usually around April/May/June but sometimes in September.

I caught the number 8 bus on Friday night for my usual journey to Wulfric Road. The fare is usually £1.50. The driver charged us £2.00. There has been no notification of a fare increase on this route.

 

I suspect that either the £1.50 fare has been scrapped or the fare stage at Wulfric Road has been moved back to the Manor Top. People going out to the social clubs on City Road now have to pay an extra 50p for the privalige.

 

Any guidance on this, especially from those in the know would be appreciated.

 

But the way. it now means that the difference between the bus fare and the taxi fare for my wife and l is 50p door to door. Guess where my money will be going from now on?

First have put the fares up, in some cases the increase only applies if you pay the driver rather then on the phone app. Its on their website:
