Guest   #75 Posted May 27, 2018 Now £2.00 from £1.50 to go from Stannington down to Hillsborough. Also the stop has moved, it (the 82) used to stop at the bus interchange stop but now it goes beyond it and stops at the next one. Guest   #77 Posted May 27, 2018 Is it cheaper on the TM Travel 61/62?  If that bus had contactless payment I would use it if it was cheaper, but I don't think that it does.
 Share this content via...

truman   10 #79 Posted May 27, 2018 Does it bother you that with a quick hack, I can therefore tell when every member of your household is away from the house? And indeed where in the world they are? Because it should do. You are literally bugging yourself for anyone who cares to to exploit.  Go on then...where am I and my family right now? Andy C   86 #80 Posted May 27, 2018 (edited) Here is an updated summary of 1 day, 7 day and 28 day travel tickets. Where two prices are shown the first is the price for on board sales and the lower price is available via a smartphone app, online or from self service machines – please consult the relevant websites for more details.  To minimise confusion, for adult tickets I’ve listed the tickets for Sheffield first then the tickets for a wider area (such as all of South Yorkshire) separate. Note where Supertram has rail replacement works taking place, for the purposes of ticketing buses that are a dedicated tram replacement services are considered tram services.  Websites for more information: First South Yorkshire: http://www.firstgroup.com/southyorkshire Stagecoach Yorkshire (buses) http://www.stagecoachbus.com Stagecoach Supertram http://www.supertram.com TM Travel http://www.tmtravel.co.uk Travelmaster multi-operator tickets http://www.sytravelmaster.com Derbyshire County Council Public Transport https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/transport-roads/public-transport/public-transport.aspx  FOR TRAVEL IN SHEFFIELD ONLY  ADULT DAY PASSES First – Sheffield £4.40 / £4.00 Stagecoach – Sheffield bus only £4.00 Stagecoach – Sheffield bus + tram £4.20 Supertram – tram only £4.00 TM Travel – Sheffield £4.00 Citybus - all buses £4.50 Citywide – all buses and tram £4.80  ADULT WEEKLY PASSES First – Sheffield £14.50 / £14.00 Stagecoach – Sheffield bus only £13.00 Stagecoach – Sheffield bus + tram £14.50 Supertram – tram only £13.50 TM Travel – Sheffield £13.50, Line 30/30a/X30 only £12.00 Citybus - all buses £15.80 Citywide – all buses and tram £16.80  ADULT 28 DAY PASSES (note - not sold on board) First – Sheffield £52.00 Stagecoach – Sheffield bus only £50.00 Stagecoach – Sheffield bus + tram £54.00 Supertram – tram only £48.00 Citybus from Travelmaster –all buses £59.00 Citywide from Travelmaster – all buses and tram £63.00  ALSO AVAILABLE FOR FIRST BUSES (smartphone app only) Pack of 10 single tickets £18.00  WIDER AREA TICKETS  ADULT DAY TICKETS First South Yorkshire £5.00 Stagecoach Explorer (South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) £6.50 TM Travel - South Yorkshire £4.20, full network inc Peak District £6.50 Hulleys - Hopper ticket, full network £6.00 South Yorkshire Connect by Travelmaster - all buses + trams £6.60 South Yorkshire Connect+ by Travelmaster - all buses, trains + trams £8.20 Derbyshire Wayfarer - buses and trains in Derbyshire plus direct services to Derbyshire from Sheffield. Andy C   86 #82 Posted May 27, 2018 why have prices gone up again ? thought the rule was one price rise a year  It is generally just once a year - Travelmaster/rail tickets in January, operator specific tickets usually around April/May/June but sometimes in September. Geo-atkinson   10 #83 Posted June 3, 2018 (edited) I caught the number 8 bus on Friday night for my usual journey to Wulfric Road. The fare is usually £1.50. The driver charged us £2.00. There has been no notification of a fare increase on this route.  I suspect that either the £1.50 fare has been scrapped or the fare stage at Wulfric Road has been moved back to the Manor Top. People going out to the social clubs on City Road now have to pay an extra 50p for the privalige.  Any guidance on this, especially from those in the know would be appreciated.  But the way. it now means that the difference between the bus fare and the taxi fare for my wife and l is 50p door to door. Guess where my money will be going from now on?  Well done First Bus for shooting yourselves in the foot.
