Jim, how come there are 10 teams, but the final table has them playing 14 matches. ?

If they played each team twice like football, home and away, they would play 18 matches..

It’s because county cricket is playing second fiddle to limited overs cricket like never before.

Patel brought in Leicestershires coaches, and they finished bottom of division 2?

Yorkshire wont come back from this quickly and the members will show their disgust with whats happened by not renewing, Im certainly not setting foot inside headingley again until hes gone, Yorkshire crickets been turned into a circus

Weve lost so many fine cricket people all dismissed without any evidence, all now lining up for compensation for wrongful dismissal. Dark days ahead.

It's not looking good this year again. Changes required.

Its been like this for decades. Even in 1949 (as an example) where there were 17 teams in one division, there were only 26 fixtures for each team where you would likely expect 32.  1989 was 22 fixtures each in a 18 team division.

Its nothing new, so Jim hardie's initial reply to you is a bit disingenuous tbh. Yes they now play less 4 day fixtures because of the other formats but its usually been a case where you never play each team twice - there was a brief period where there was a 9/9 division split and they played 16 times.

The current Division 2 has 8 teams and they all play each other twice, its just Division 1 where they dont.

All the references to Yorkshire's past to be removed from headingley, the club has caved in like the rest of the country,

Can't copy link, its easy to look up,  but the telegraph 3 days ago said "Yorkshire remove roll of honour to promote inclusion ". They were removed before the season started and replaced by a white wall
