strangerthe6
The Bell Hagg on Manchester Road. They must have known we were underage but it was so quiet I don't think the Landlord cared. I went past for the first time in ages recently and it looks like a private house now. It had been boarded up the last time I drove past.

retep
I have been doing a lot of research on the Myrtle- what do you remember about it?! ---------- Post added 02-02-2016 at 20:04 ---------- Good story Alan. What do you remember of the Truro? Hard to find info on that place! The last time I was in the Truro a brickie walked in and said "the Big O is dead" It wasn't the Big O it was Elvis, so I suppose 1977. Edited February 7, 2016 by retep posted before I finished. stpetre
The Athol Hotel-Charles Street in 1965, huge place like two storey's high and a long way upstairs to the 'men's' like a Wild-West type saloon (but with out the violence). Sold Newcastle Brown on tap ! Sadly closed a few weeks (also 1965) after my legal drinking age. Edited February 7, 2016 by stpetre Add
