Channel tunnel problems! caused by the illegal migrants.

I'm not a fan of frog legs either but France isn't THAT bad is it?

They've already fled the life and escaped. What they then want is to flee the safe haven in preference of a more generous one, and don't mind taking further risks to do so.

Why do we?

They get benefits and healthcare is France. Some may want to come to UK because they have friends, and they may speak English as well.

Youd rather see people starve and die in camps and on boats?

Could none of the several safe democracies they bypassed on the way to Calais not have offered that? If they're that desperate they'd stop travelling as soon as they reached safety. They're not, they're greedy.

Greedy? You're having a laugh.

So you think it is our duty to allow people who are prepared to commit criminal offences into our country, it would be good to know who you would consider it acceptable to refuse entry to the UK

How many criminals are already in the uk? Millions. Do you deport them?

I cannot help but feel sympathy for anyone living in war torn countries or in terrible circumstances who genuinely want to start a better life. Why are these people undertaking arduous journeys, travelling thousands of miles, yet bypassing other countries where they could be safe? Is it simply because they are led to believe our streets are paved with gold? Where these people are genuinely living in fear and danger, then it should be every countries problem, not just ours.

My real concern is the sheer numbers, over past years and more to come. We are a very small island and no longer self sufficient. We have a shortage of housing and in order to build more and more in the future, we are urbanising our green spaces. Our benefits system and National Health Service are stretched past the limit. Our GP's aren't coping and I don't believe many of our schools are sufficiently well equipped to cope properly with multi languages.

I see an analogy to what could become the overall effect on our country as taking a normal family home with proper accommodation for those who live there - manageable. Take that same home and overcrowd it by moving in another ten people - chaos. Add to that figure some non-workers - disaster. And what will we be able to offer these immigrants then?

Other countries already DO take more than us. Its a global problem that requires a globalized solution.

We should celebrate our country is considered safest of all. We should set an example and cement our place as world leaders of peace and justice and trailblaze for other countries to follow.
