It does seem that you have had a completely different life to what mine as been, I had a happy childhood and a very happy and memorable adult life and never have I felt that anyone who I have ever met as done something to me to which I have even had to think about gaining revenge or wishing them harm. I still ask myself the question ( before buying anything ) do I need it and can I afford it, if the answer is no I do without it, like a car I do not need one now so I do not run one, I was around 30 before I needed a car which was when I got one to travel to Huddersfield for work on early starts even though I was driving for a living most of my working life. My wife has never had any interest in driving so it would be stood at work for weeks at a time when I was away but it was necessary to be able to get to work in the early hours. You do seem to class everyone else to your opinions and outlook on life generalising , when there are still a lot of very nice , kind human beings in this world.

I do not seemed to have come across the right set of circumstances yet and being in my seventies now probably to old to change my ways, and as most of my childhood we were on rations and being the eldest of eleven children as well as being married for over 50 years I most likely have a different outlook on life and my fellow human beings

Immigrant violence at calais putting lives at risk
phantom309 replied to Quik's topic in General Discussions
there is a constant change of the people in Calais as some do gain illegal entry to the U K some are caught and the number who succeed and disappear into the black economy is anyone's guess, there were 17 apprehended this week in Thatcham according to this BBC report. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-35476646 The only thing which is certain is that they are all intent on entering the UK illegally and therefore committing a criminal offence to achieve what they want. -

The migrants in Calais are intent on entering the UK illegally as they do not have to have an I.D card to obtain work here unlike most of the EU. It as been said already that you cannot blame them if the system allows them to break the law and then disappear into the black economy, but they must think it is worth the risk with them not being able to apply to enter legally through the proper channels. There as most likely been a steady trickle entering the UK regularly as most weeks there is reports of some being caught or seen alighting from the back of vehicles, and the authorities only seem to take action when the groups get larger in the number of people attempting to gain entry to the U K -

That is exactly what Germany did and that is a very successful way of loosing control of the situation. They would be processed in Calais as that is where UK border agency check everyone,s passport before boarding a ferry or train. The Calais camp as been in existence over 10 years but I have never heard any reports of anyone being there for years and going through Calais several times a year you do notice the change in different nationalities over the years. -
What's the source of your claim? the BBC news as a bit about it http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35256576
