GerryBooth
Traffic was terrible this morning going into work going along Penistone Road. Traffic signs said it was because of road works on Sheaf Street? But why would this affect traffic on Penistone Road?
Vegas1
Because one lane closed in Sheffield brings the whole city to a standstill. Same when a bus breaks down.
belperite
Was terrible tonight too, glad I was on the tram.
GerryBooth
Any idea how long these works are going to last?
Squiggs
Remember folks, if YOU can't go any7where at a junction, make sure to pull your car fully over the junction. Because it's your duty to make sure that if you can't go anywhere, nobody else can!

Took me 70 minutes to do 5 miles tonight due partly to junction and roundabout blockers

Madgesmum
I was also stuck in this earlier today, however, according to BBC travel site: A61 South Yorkshire - One lane closed and traffic congestion on A61 Sheaf Street eastbound in Sheffield between the Howard Street junction and the Harmer Lane junction, because of emergency repairs and a collapsed manhole. Not entirely the council's fault... apart from the lack of road maintenance perhaps. Might be one to avoid tomorrow too, unless they get it sorted tonight. Daven
It took me the best part of an hour to travel 7 miles home from the hospital this evening. Radio said it was due to a broken manhole cover on Sheaf Street.

Or of course down to an issue with the ongoing night maintenance this week on Sheaf Street...
