AlexAtkin
Also might be worth looking carefully at the USB ports as the previous owner might have broken one of them causing it to short.
SqueakyPete
I take it you bought the "Samsung 42" TV (Temperamental) (£30.00)" It looks like the firmware update has worked for some people with Samsung T.V's. Lets be honest, the T.V was a gamble from the start, and it might still be worth £30 as spares if you slap it on eBay,so all might not be lost just yet:D. Ghozer
I was looking at buying this TV but the seller said it had already gone..... By the sounds of it (if it is the one SqueakyPete said) it's a power supply issue, the capacitors need replacing, takes a couple of hours and costs about £
steve1970
Samsung are notorious for CAP's blowing. It's the first thing I look at when it's a power fault.
neeeeeeeeeek
Samsung extended the warranty on capacitor issues, might be worth giving them a call.
