id say city or mercury

Got a taxi with Excel today. Arrived very quickly and the fare was less than City and considerably less than Mercury.

 

So that's my taxi firm of choice (for now anyway)

 

Update on prices of Excel. I had two taxis and both were more than City. Why the difference compared to first time I don't know.

I would choose Mercury ..i am disabled and there wasnt much help given|

a few more lessons in custmer care needed .

I would recommend Excel too, reliable and cheaper.

The worst is City. Used them for years then was let down twice when they didn't turn up - on e I nearly missed an early train to London and the other I was late for an important meeting (I phoned them 3 times while I was waiting and they kept saying they were on their way)

Just to reiterate City are terrible. My friend (who is 70+) waited over an hour for them despite booking them the day before . She missed her coach, lost £24 for her day trip, she phoned & complained, I wrote a letter of complaint (after phoning). No response or apology of any kind. Disgraceful customer service!
