Brunette   10 #39 Posted August 8, 2014 Is this where we find out that our potholes were our only real drainage system?
 Share this content via...

simonj   10 #44 Posted August 8, 2014 Not sure of the exact location but a friend posted this saying this is in Mosborough.. apparently lightning struck to road http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=35asqo8&s=8  That particular damage was caused by heavy rain, not lightening and actually happened a month or two back, not tonight.  It's on Station Road, just near the junction with School Street and very close to me. When the damage first appeared it was quickly repaired using the (sub)-standard methods usually applied to Sheffield's potholes. After the storm on 25th Jul it got carved up again even worse and has now had a better job done, which will hopefully last more than a few weeks this time
 Share this content via...

I don't think people are bothered about rain as such, more bothered about their house getting flooded.  ---------- Post added 09-08-2014 at 01:37 ----------  Its not that theyre rare, just not everyone *has* on immediate demand.  But many do, and if I were them I'd do something.
