StaciUK Â Â 10 #1 Posted October 11, 2013 I currently work as a nursery nurse and have several years experience now. Lately, I have been thinking of a change. I still want to stay in the child are profession but would like advice on what I could do. Â I would love school work but I've heard there is talk of phasing teaching assistants out so it's abit risky. Â Any suggestions would be helpful or websites too. LifeYoga   10 #2 Posted October 18, 2013 Have you thought of child minding? I am a mum and go to a playgroup and the place is full of childminders. Have you spoken to any of them? Funnily enough I was chatting to a nursery nurse at my son's nursery yesterday and they told me about the jobs they have done. They worked in a school, as a nursery nurse and as a nanny. Nannies get paid per hour, rather than per child. There are a few options. Have you talked to your colleagues? Have you contacted a school to see if you can chat to a teaching assistant? They may have ideas.
 Share this content via...
