  1. I'm starting teaching again. I've had a small break. It gave me time to think. I'm adding in another evening class as I'm guessing people are slowly heading back to work. I'm also adding in a Dynamic yoga class as there may be parents free now kids are returning to school. Who knows how this will go. I'm excited to see new faces. Thanks for the chat. Zoe Www.life-yoga.co.uk
  2. I wonder if this is how we'll stay?? I might go back to teaching a mix of online and in person if people stay with me.
  3. I teach online but also learn online too. I'm doing lessons on Saturdays with someone that last 90 minutes and it zips by. I quite like it. I think a lot of us teachers like not rushing everywhere!
  4. Hi Has anyone tried online yoga classes? I teach them and wondered how people feel about doing things online. Do you prefer it (no one watching you, in your own home, no travel) or do you not get along with it? Zoe Www.life-yoga.co.uk Lessons via Zoom Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am and Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm + Somatic movement on Fridays at 11.30am
  5. Hello everyone I am an S11 based yoga teacher. I teach yoga in gyms and also privately in a few church halls. I also teach 1-1 and yoga in the workplace. I teach two classes a week at the Best Western Kenwood Hall Hotel. Wednesdays at 10am (75 minutes) Fridays at 9.15am (60 minutes) The classes are often themed and mix up Hatha yoga with other influences picked up over my years of study and practice. Classes are suitable for all abilities young/old, with/without injuries as I offer lots of alternatives and guidance. The next sessions start Wednesday 7 November and Friday 9 November. Spaces are limited so booking is essential. Asking for a free lesson isn't unheard of too (try me out). To book contact 0791 225 7899. Thanks Zoe To book, please contact me on 0791 225 7899 Thanks for reading.
  6. Hello everyone I am an S11 based yoga teacher. I teach yoga in gyms and also privately in a few church halls. I also teach 1-1 and yoga in the workplace. Did you know I also teach Gentle Somatic Yoga (a form of movement based on Thomas Hanna's Hanna Somatic Education)? It's slow repeated movements designed to work deeply in our Soma (mind body) which has the aim of reprogramming muscles to lose tension and leave the body feeling mobile, relaxed and renewed. Classes are mat based and suitable for all abilities young/old, with/without injuries, willing and able ?. They're deeply relaxing! I currently teach 2 classes of this nature (on a Tuesday morning at Ecclesall Parish Hall and on Fridays at Bents Green Church Hall) and these classes are now primarily Somatic movement classes. Occasionally we might bring in a few standing traditional hatha yoga poses too. The next season starts on Tuesday 6 November at 11am at Ecclesall Parish Hall and Friday 9 November at 11am at Bents Green Church Hall. Each class lasts one our and spaces are limited. I am currently the only teacher in Sheffield to run weekly Somatics classes. To book, please contact me on 0791 225 7899 Thanks for reading.
  7. Would you like to learn yoga in a warm and welcoming environment? Learning ways to move the body to gently wake up muscles? To find time to rest and restore? My classes at Ecclesall Parish Hall may be right for you. I blend Gentle Somatic Yoga with beginners Hatha Yoga to provide classes where we are asked to tune in and sense, moving slowly between movements to explore our range of motion and inner strength, to rest and relax in order to restore ease of movement, body and mind. The classes are slow paced and mindful and the aim is to gently move and above all RELAX. When? Tuesdays at 10.45am til 11.45am at Ecclesall Parish Hall Also Fridays at 10.45 til 11.45 at Bents Green Church Hall (this class is usually very popular). 10. Weird that you saw those lights and we saw our flashes at the same time.
  11. We have just seen strange lights over Greystones. White flashes in the clouds like lightening but very systematic. 2 flashes, a pause and then another one. Every 15 seconds. We can't see any planes. Seems to be below the stars. Really weird. We watched for about 3 minutes. Think it's still happening.
  12. Hello I teach yoga classes aimed at all abilities in the following locations: Mondays - 7.15pm - 8.30pm - Osborne Mews, Osborne Road, Nether Edge, S7 Wednesdays - 8pm - 9.30pm - Holy Trinity Church Hall, Grove Road, Millhouses, S8 I also teach in a very small studio on Ringinglow Road on: Mondays - 9.30am - 10.30am / 10.45 - 11.45 Wednesdays - 6.15pm - 7.30pm A reduced holiday service is running from week commencing 20 July. Wednesday evening classes at Grove Road will resume in September All of the Ringinglow Road classes will resume in September There is no class on 20 July at Osborne Mews. I do teach private lessons (one to one / one to two) for people who would like to learn the fundementals of yoga or who would like a personalised class (maybe you have an injury and find a general class is not enough). The classes are also useful for people who cannot find the time to get to the gym - I can come to you! My approach is very straight forward. I give lots of instruction and adapt postures and show lots of variations - so that everyone can settle into postures in their own way. Take a look at my website for more details.
  13. Hi - There is a class on a Thursday at 1pm (may be moving to 12.30) at Brunswick Gardens Village in Woodhouse. I used to teach it but have passed it to another teacher called Mado. It costs £2.50 - I am not sure if you have to be a member of their gym. I think not. Anyway - it is aimed at mobility and is definitely beginner level. Thanks, Zoe ---------- Post added 15-07-2015 at 10:54 ---------- S20 - is that Dore? Check out the Methodists Church - they sometimes have them. If you fancy traveling to S11 (not much further) I also teach up there. Have a look at my website if you fancy the trip out! Thanks again.
  14. Bents Green has a new yoga studio on Ringinglow Road. I am taking bookings for my range of classes at my intimate studio. A fair bit of interest so far and leaflets are going out and about in the community. The timetable is as follows: Mondays - 9.30 - 10.30 - Beginners yoga Mondays - 10.45 - 11.45 - All level yoga Wednesdays - 10am - 11.15 am - All level yoga Wednesdays - 6.15pm - 7.30pm - All level yoga Check my site for prices. http://www.life-yoga.co.uk I am also booking up for one to one classes. One to one are great for getting a deep understanding of yoga poses and the background of yoga that may not be taught in general group classes. You can target and tailor asanas for you. Skills learnt one to one can be taken into group classes or can help you with your personal practice.
