sheffieldvic   10 #1 Posted June 21, 2013 Thought I would show my appreciation to a lovely taxi driver who went above and beyond the call of duty today.  My uncle who suffers dementia decided to travel from Market Harborough to Sheffield without notice! To cut a very long story short Graham the city cars driver not only contacted family via his own mobile phone but then drove my uncle around Sheffield instead of leaving him when family wasn't in....This alone was fantastic but he also never took a penny for the fare.  This man made my uncle feel comfortable and safe even when he was getting quite confused and upset.  So a huge THANK YOU Graham and city taxis you definitely deserve a thumbs up :thumbsup:
 Share this content via...
Daven   10 #2 Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) Good to hear there is ONE caring driver who works for City Cars. Well done Graham ! Have you contacted the firm to let them know - I doubt they will care at all but it's always worth a try. Vague_Boy   10 #6 Posted June 21, 2013 Good to hear there is ONE caring driver who works for City Cars.  I use City Taxis a fair bit and their staff are, on the whole, pretty good.  Perhaps certain individuals just don't bring out the best in them? Daven   10 #7 Posted June 21, 2013 I use City Taxis a fair bit and their staff are, on the whole, pretty good. Perhaps certain individuals just don't bring out the best in them?  I think that maybe you are right. My experiences of City Cars has been appalling - made worse by the poor customer services and lack of concern by the management. If ever I am forced into using City Cars again I will demand to be driven by Graham - it seems he is a lone star.
 Share this content via...

Minimo   59 #10 Posted June 21, 2013 I use them a fair bit and have only once or twice not been happy with the driver. The majority in my experience are friendly and helpful.  The best journey I ever had was from the Hallamshire, when I was a bit disoriented. Reception called them and I was told to sit and wait. It wasn't long before a driver came in, escorted me to the car, and made sure I was seated and belted. He had lovely classical music playing softly, and the whole journey was a pleasure. It also cost a lot less than I expected.
 Share this content via...
jane2008 Â Â 15 #11 Posted June 21, 2013 It must be Graham I saw loading a disabled woman's shopping into the car outside Tesco's. I watched as he got her settled into the car, she went to lean over to close the door but he was there to make sure she was safe. He then returned her trolley back to the store for her. I was in earshot and he was so polite and patient. Â Was this Graham or do City taxis have more than one good driver?
 Share this content via...
