Same Sex Marriage

Recommended Posts

It does indicate that few homosexual relationships achieve the longevity common in marriages.

'It' would, because it's obviously the most balanced document on the issue :suspect:

Let's take what you've just said here

few homosexual relationships achieve the longevity common in marriages
(my bold), you claim here that marriages are commonly prone to longevity, yet earlier you stated

Around 50% of straight marriages break up
That's rather a loose definition of common.

Have you ever actually met a homosexual couple?

I had to think about that one, just the one, I used to live next door to a gay couple.

Is it ok to call them gay, people get so PC and times change :)

Trust me I'm not at all PC.

Any comment on your saying 'straight' marriages have a common (50%) longevity or the rather biased source material you presented us with?

Or are we going to resort to diverting things that are presented to you with clever comments?

Any comments about the gays you used to live next door to?

SD doesnt think I can make clever comments.

They were nice chaps, I moved aways after some years, but they did seem succesfull in business and were probably together for around 10 years.

Anyway, going back to what you said.

If I modify what you said;

Few hetrosexual relationships achieve the longevity common in marriages.

It's an obvious statement isn't it, most never get that far, they last a few days, weeks or months and then fail.

So why is it surprising if you replace hetrosexual with gay? Comparing all relationships to marriages is apples and oranges.

Do you think there would have been any harm in their getting married, had they so chosen?
