Closed high street stores that you miss the most

Recommended Posts

I used to love Spoils, I moved house a lot back then and it was great for getting the bits to make it homely.

Woolworths. But I don't miss it as it was in recent times, I miss it as it was when I was a child. Way back when we didn't have many material possessions, Woolies was like an Aladdin's cave. I remember buying my first lipstick there around 1960, classy or what! :hihi:

That bit doesn't make much sense but there is a list of shops here: http://www.foppreturns.com/stores/

I swear I saw one not that long ago.

Fopp, owned by HMV have/will now fold again as HMV folds.

or it might be sold off by Administrators, I guess it depends on how their books look.

I believe that it showed films of an adult nature!

Always looked interesting when I went past it on the bus; it had closed down by the time I'd left school.
