Boiler/Heating Megathread - Advice & Recommendations, No Jobs/Quotes/Advertising

Recommended Posts

Are you sure its the microswitch that burns out? Why would sludge in the system cause the microswitch to stick or burn out? Do you mean the mechanish driving the microswitch will stick? and do you mean that the synchronous motor will burn out?

Most External diverter valves have a little rubber ball in them which is in turn connected to a motor which then connects to a micro switch which allows the heating or hot water to then come on via the boiler . what generally happens is that sludge sticks around the ball making it stiff to operate, the motor then will not fully close or open and make contact with the micro switch. Hope this answers you question.

Where's the best place to buy a 32kw boiler :)

they may be cheaper online , but beware there are some companies out there that sell you the goods and don't deliver, I know you may be covered by your card but it is not worth the hassle. Best place is plumbers merchant the independent will be cheaper if you want to buy one or if you go through your plumber he may be able to get you a discount. My other advice would b to get at least 3 quotes for the fitting of the boiler and check who ever is fittings it is gas safe registered !

We would be more than happy to offer you a free quote .

Thanks
