lilypiglet
Cool - another thread about ASDA in Parson Cross! No, it's informing the OP that they are on sale in Asda.

jaxter30
Yes got mine there today ahhhhhhhhhhh so thats what the woman was doing. i was totally bewildered when i went into asda today and saw this frail little woman sat at a fold out desk surrounded by big red flowers with black centres. right at the foot of the escalators, cant miss her tbh, n if u do miss her...you sure as hell cant miss the big red poppy displays. max
I managed to put money in a poppy box in a shell petrol station on the A57 but didn't get supplied even a poppy. Totally disgusted. You managed to put some money in a poppy box which is what the appeal is all about. That you failed to get a poppy to indicate your altruism is hardly a reason for having a rant, is it? paulhodgkins
Not many things get my goat but this really gets me going ! I've been looking to buy a poppy for about a week now and S5 shops don't seem to be forthcoming with them. Joblot Best one ASDA (totally supprised me this) These are major shops on the estate and fail to sell poppies to help our war dead and injured. I managed to put money in a poppy box in a shell petrol station on the A57 but didn't get supplied even a poppy. Totally disgusted. so where is the post about Shell garages that are not selling poppies but taking money fir them? Yet again, another ill-informed S5 bashing post. Eric_Collins
so where is the post about Shell garages that are not selling poppies but taking money fir them? Yet again, another ill-informed S5 bashing post. Seeing as the shell garage was located on the A57 somewhere in Nottinghamshire I see no reason to inform people in Sheffield about this, it has no relivance to this area. As for ASDA , there was no poppy on sale at the time I visited which was Monday afternoon. I walked around customer services by the enterence and around the fag counter and even looked on the tills. The other shops mentioned I visit daily and they uptill this afternoon didn't have any for sale. I am an ex-soldier and I wear my poppy with pride , it just saddens me when your bashed on here for telling people that they are not as widespread sold as they should be. Eric_Collins
Christ ! Do you go via Leeds ? A57 - A614 is full of road works as part of the widening of the A57 to make it into a dual carriageway. The A614 is having traffic lights installed opposite rufford Abby. The A614 has also had speed restrictions added and average speed cameras, throw in a couple of regular tractors and it makes for a very very long journey. Add in the standing traffic on the M1 junction 32-31 M18. These alone add an extra 40mins to an already 1hr 20min journey. So yes i @x@x@ hate the drive in which I have been doing for 4 years now. Best of it we are moving to Newark on Trent as a company,,,, oh the joys !!! Edited November 8, 2012 by Eric_Collins
