GodStar   10 #6 Posted August 18, 2012 It's a local colloquialism. The media should know better but provincial media think we like to hear it used to heighten our sense of community togetherness and show we're Yorkshire and proud! It just sounds ridiculous and backwards unless it comes from the mouth of a 70+ genuine Yorkshire man. It's like Prince Charles trying to speak 'street'
 Share this content via...

NorthernStar   11 #11 Posted August 18, 2012 If I hear the word 'Sheffield lass' one more time (especially on Radio Sheffield), I'm going to set fire to my own head!  If it's so offensive to you, you could always move, your gripe is like someone visiting France and objecting to the locals for speak French.
