SV500   10 #16 Posted September 17, 2011 How can it be the Space Stn or a Satalite when the op says it had shape ?  without actually seeing it,its hard to say what it was,but most likely to be something like debri blowing around getting hit by street lights or something as boring as that,  It sounds pretty exiting whatever it was   JJ.. RitchieRitch   10 #19 Posted September 18, 2011 That's what I thought. Did it appear bigger or smaller than the moon?  You can see the Space Station from Earth without using any aid, yet because its orbit is around 120 miles plus upwards, its only visible as a really bright light.  I was driving back from Asda the other morning, about 2am and thought I spotted a mysterious object hovering in the sky. However, I soon realised it was just the moon, in a funny colour partially blocked by some clouds.
 Share this content via...
autumn1a55 Â Â 10 #20 Posted September 18, 2011 Thanks for your replies, everyone! Â I wish someone else had seen this...they would agree with me that it was also definitely NOT: Â an illusion (involving the moon, the dark and its effects on the eye, etc.), a cloud partially covering the moon, a space station, Chinese lanterns (yeah, you did right to run away after that, 'julado'!), debris + street lights (there were none nearby), 'something in my ciggie' (although that did pass the 'clever, but funny' test!)...and my absolute favourite, 'a black bin liner'. Â It was none of those things! Â X
 Share this content via...
autumn1a55 Â Â 10 #21 Posted September 18, 2011 I've done a little picture of the 'UFO' I saw. It's not the best, but will hopefully give a general idea of what it looked like. SF won't allow me to insert it into my post:huh: Â Any ideas? Â X
 Share this content via...
