Keeping flies out

Does anyone know the best way to keep flies out of a conservatory tried one of those ultrasonic plug ins but no joy. I don't want have to close the doors on days like this.

citronella candles work, also the spray if you can stand the smell, stops them coming near you, i use it running round the damflask.

hang garlic from doors and windows....works for me
