0742Sheff
After reading that entire statement i can make it vastly shorter.... We (the board), have cocked up big time. Instead of resigning or promising to dig deep next season we will make it blatantly obvious that we are going to get rid of our best assets and fill the team with youth players who are being paid a pittance. Nevertheless, we will hope and pray these youngsters can bail us out of the crap because, quite frankly. We are all out of ideas. The board. Ousetunes
Two glaring omissions: 1 Mistakes were made while United were in the Premier League (not once we'd been relegated). Arguably Warnock's one man up front tactics on away games. Contrarily, perhaps a lack of investment in the squad meant Warnock was restricted by his team selection etc. This leads to point two; 2 The board would like to acknowledge the wonderful job Me Warnock has done at QPR (crowds half the size of ours) and wish him (and Paddy Kenny) well in the Premier League next season. The horse has already bolted Mr McCabe!!

CrazyOwl
"During the last couple of seasons the Blades loan commitments have totalled in excess of a staggering £6m, funded by the McCabe family as part of their extensive ongoing support of the club. Additionally the McCabes have funded one of the highest player wage bills in the league." Im staggered at the amount of money spent on loan players over the last two seasons. When you have a turn around of players like that . How can any team have a settled ,balanced side with so many short term loan signings coming in and out of the club. We had the same problem a couple of seasons back , half the team didnt belong to us. Loans siginings are are if they are for a full season ,or minimum of 6 months ,but to have a revolving door policy is no good for building a settled squad ,or moulding players into the system you wish to play . Im also slightly surprised that the blades were running on one of the highest player budgets in the championship. Ok , Evans, Henderson and Simmonson will be on good wages, but who else is picking up big money ?
