Bald Eagle
Get rid of the labour council! The sooner AV comes in for local elections the sooner Sheffield will prosper. Born and bred in Sheffield until 29 in 1976 when I left I never regret it. Returned from France a couple of years ago to be present for my sister's death (on life support) the drivers in the town were total numpties. Honking at a left hand drive car with French plates because I was a millisecond late at traffic lights. £7 for an hours parking at the hospital! The only thing that would really improve Sheffield would be Enola Gay's cargo!!!
Captain_Scarlet
Don't blame Meadowhall for the downfall of Sheffield City Centre, The Arndale Centre didn't kill Manchester city centre and Leeds has a great city centre despite having the White Rose shopping centre.Lol, have you been to White Rose? That place couldn't shadow Rotherham centre!
HarrietStar
coming from london, I would like to see more mixed areas and less segregation, I know there are areas like sharrow which are mixed and feel cosmopolitan but there are lots of areas that are very divided and I think it's a shame. I know it's more of a social issue but to an extent town planning can change people and their behaviour.

Hots on
I think not. Ah yes the Libdems lost overall control last year didn't they? They're the single biggest party in the council though with 32 of the 63 seats.

It Isn't a Labour council now though as Bald Eagle seems to think.
Bald Eagle
Where have you been? the Lib Dems have controlled Sheffield council since 1997. France! Still mentally scarred by David Blunkett buggering up Sheffield then getting "promoted" to Parliament. One of the reasons I'm over here!
