gailsnails   10 #61 Posted January 25, 2011 Hi Gailsnails, not good news put 1lb on this week, don't understand it, under points, tracker filled in, gym 4 times... Hey will not be defeated hopefully be a bigger loss next week  Hope you have done better than me?  Hi Sooperdooper, if you're not having the full points that may be the reason. I've lost 3lbs this week, i'm really chuffed. I have started having breakfast, which i never usually do and i think it does make a difference and i've also got back into cycling (think i must have sweat it off! ) Anyway good look for the following week-you may find you have a good loss at next weigh in. iphonelover   10 #64 Posted January 30, 2011 Hi  I like it, Ive always like weight watchers. In regards to the way new pro points is worked out, if youve noticed although the points allowance has gone up to minimum 29, most foods have doubled in points. Although obviously you now have the weekly allowance of 49 points which is good, although if you are going for a meal one night and a proper blow out 49 isnt enough, what it is good for is, say if your out shopping and dont want a low fat sarnie but want something like a mcdonalds then its brilliant for little blow outs to not have to feel guilty about afterwards. Does anyone know any zero point propoint homemade soup receipes? I love carbs, so someone at my meeting said zero point soup is good because you can have say 4 slices of bread instead of 2 (because your saving on soup points) and have a nice carb boost
 Share this content via...
iphonelover   10 #65 Posted January 30, 2011 for those who have mentioned not losing but sticking to it and doing excerise, just to help you, remember that sometimes excerise gives you muscles as well as working off fat, and muscles weigh heavy!! Our leader always says sometimes on the weeks she does more exercise its those weeks she loses less.  There is one tip I can give everyone and thats to MEASURE YOURSELF! Our leader didnt all the years ago when she first started and its her biggest regret. Sometimes your weight may fluctuate from week to week but your measurements may constantly drop!  Measure every 4 weeks your:  upper arm thigh stomach (just above belly button) hips
 Share this content via...

Sometimes your weight may fluctuate from week to week but your measurements may constantly drop!  Measure every 4 weeks your:  upper arm thigh stomach (just above belly button) hips   Just to add to that, it takes 12 weeks of continual exercise (not 24/7 but regular sessions) for this to begin happening and even then, the difference is slight. It's true that you should measure yourself...but just be careful that you don't use this as an excuse. I weigh people through at meetings and we have had some funny comments in the past from people who have not lost and put this down to the fact they went for one random run at some point in the week! If someone doesnt lose weight 1 week then I find its better to put a positive spin on the reason rather than a negative, obviously being realistic but keeping it positive. Measuring yourself once every 4 weeks isnt an excuse for anything, its just nice to see the inch loss as well as the weight ! I love carbs, so someone at my meeting said zero point soup is good because you can have say 4 slices of bread instead of 2 (because your saving on soup points) and have a nice carb boost  I don't think much has "doubled in points" for e.g all the ww meals are only a few extra points and alot of foods are only half a point more than before. Jacket potatoes however are alot more than before but I avoid them and have wedges instead. I also think that 49 points is easily enough to plan a meal for e.g you could go to ASK and have garlic bread, Lasagne and sorbet with 3 175ml glasses of wine for 39 points and some of those points would be out of your daily allowence too as you would have had one less meal in the day.  I seem to be eating loads more than the old "points" system which I did the other year but couldnt stick to it when socialising.  With regards to soup I just do veg with carrots, swede, celery, onion and I add about 6pts of potatoes with veg/chicken stock and i make a large pan and blend it and its 1 pt i add loads of chilli and garlic too so its got a kick.  ive also done the spicy butternut squash one which is in the ww book.  last night we had a chinese and i had chow mein, egg fried rice, chips, curry sauce, a bottle of wine and i've still got over half of my weekly allowence left because i had a low point brekkie, lunch and loads of fruit.
